Hey guys, it’s Lois. I was tagged in this amazing tag by the lovely BirdieBookworm in the Harry Potter tag. As most people know I absolutely adore Harry Potter so I was ecstatic to find out I had been tagged in this book tag. Be sure to check out Birdie’s blog for all things books.

So, without further ado, here we go with the Harry Potter Book Tag.

1. A Book whose Theme you liked but would rewrite

We Were Liars by E. Lockhart –
I really liked the concept and the theme that this book had and it did keep me gripped throughout reading. But if I could I would just rewrite little sections of it just to add a little more sense to the story.

2. The First Book in a Series that got you Hooked

16101128-1

The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey – I began reading this book when I was in college and it only took me a couple of days to complete. I got so into the storyline of the book that I couldn’t but it down. As soon as I have finished the first book in the series I went straight to the local book shop bought the sequel and instantly began reading that. I just couldn’t get enough.

3. A Book You wish you could have right now

They Both die at the End by Adam Silvera – This book was only announced yesterday but I instantly wanted a copy of the book. I recently got History is All you Left Me. So, I would quite happily have another Adam Silvera book in my collection. This book isn’t released till 5th September this year but I really do wish I could have it now.

4. A Killer Book, both senses, take it as you’d like

51p-iue0kul

Massacre of the Sixty by Dave Johnston – This book has so much violence and I love it. It is a killer book in bother senses, there is an awful lot of death and violence throughout this book. But, also it is killer in the sense that you will not want to put it down because of how much you are enjoying it. Find my review here.

5. A Book you found really Confusing

22557272

The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins – As much as I hate this book it is so confusing. I worked out the “mystery” within the first 100 pages. I hated how predictable the narrative was but the fact that the characters were always drinking or drunk just confused the story for me. I won’t be picking up this book ever again.

6. Your Spirit Animal Book

Matilda by Roald Dahl – I read this book over and over when I was a child and even watched the film adaptation over and over. I couldn’t get enough of Matilda and her books. I really do think that by reading Matilda and about her book was one of the few reasons why I have such a love for reading today.

7. A Dark and Twisted Book

7937843-1

Room by Emma Donoghue – This book is dark and twisted in the fact that it leaves you hollow after you have finished reading it. Due to it being all about kidnapping you see the dark side of our world. Also it makes you think throughout the book how someone can be so twisted as to kidnap a young woman. find my review of this book here.

8. A Book that Surprised you in a great way. Reveals to be more than it is

15749186

To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han – I went into listening to the audio book of this novel knowing next to nothing. At first I thought I was really going to dislike this book but as it went on and revealed more to me I couldn’t get enough of it. I loved that I could escape from life when I was listening to this book. Find my review for this book here.

  1. Thank you for tagging me! 😀 I couldn’t agree more with Room being a dark and twisted book. I’ve never read it, but I did see the movie & that has turned me away from reading it because I don’t want to think about it again. I’m sure it was a really good book, but man the movie was so sad!
