Hello all, and welcome to another Goodreads Monday! I have so many books on my TBR and this is the time and place to talk about them all!
Goodreads Monday is a weekly meme that is hosted by Lauren @ Lauren’s Page Turners and I cannot wait to bring you a book that is waiting to be read on my TBR list.
Goodreads Monday is a weekly meme where you pick a book that is on your TBR list and show it off. This week I am showing off The One Memory of Flora Banks by Emily Barr.
Published: 12th January 2017
Synopsis:
“Seventeen-year-old Flora Banks has no short-term memory. Her mind resets itself several times a day, and has since the age of ten, when the tumour that was removed from Flora’s brain took with it her ability to make new memories. That is, until she kisses Drake, her best friend’s boyfriend, the night before he leaves town. Miraculously, this one memory breaks through Flora’s fractured mind, and sticks. Flora is convinced that Drake is responsible for restoring her memory and making her whole again. So when an encouraging email from Drake suggests she meet him on the other side of the world, Flora knows with certainty that this is the first step toward reclaiming her life. ”
My Comments:
I started reading this book just last week and I have only read a chapter so far, so technically it is still on my TBR list. When I read the synopsis for this book I was instantly intrigued, I was so interested in the concept that this book seemed to have. For some reason it reminded me of Finding Dory I think because of the memory loss, and I’m a huge fan of Dory so that might have influenced this book choice. I keep thinking that this book will be so interesting to be inside of someones mind who has amnesia. I cannot wait to start reading this book.
There you have it, this weeks Goodreads Monday. If you have read or plan on reading The One Memory of Flora Banks let me know in the comments, I would love to hear your thoughts on the book below!
