The Happiness Tag

Hey guys, it’s Lois! I was tagged by the lovely Zuky @ Bookbum in the happiness tag! Be sure to check out Zuky’s blog it is incredible! I thought this was the perfect tag to do on a lovely weekend! This tag doesn’t have any rules at all which is perfect!

LIST 5 THINGS THAT MAKE YOU HAPPY

1) My Boyfriend 

I cannot write this list and not include David! Me and David have been together just over 2 years now. We very recently went to the Lake District for our anniversary weekend which was absolutely lovely. We also have our holiday to Lanzarote to look forward to in the next few weeks. He is absolutely incredible and makes me extremely happy everyday. Here is a picture of the two of us when we were watching the sunset from outside the hotel.

2) My Dogs

Technically, only one of these dogs is mine but they both make me incredibly happy. Maggie is my little West Highland Terrier who is now 8 years old. She is the sweetest little dog who loves her cuddles and I love spending time with her. Bella is David’s Black Labrador who is 7 years old. She is always looking out for me and comes and comforts me whenever I seem sad or unwell.

3) Books 

Of course I had to include books! Books are something that have always made me incredibly happy. I love being able to buy books and then get cosy and read them. It is one of my favourite if not my favourite things to do in my spare time.

4) My younger Sister

My younger sister Katie makes me happy all the time. She is my best friend and I love spending time with her. She finished her GCSEs yesterday and I cannot wait to treat her to a day out. She is always putting people in front of herself. I have introduced her to a lot of the bands that she loves today. Here is a very old picture of the two of us when I took her to a The Vamps concert, as you can tell we are always silly when we are together.

5) TV Shows

I am a huge fan of TV shows! I love finding new shows to binge watch or re-watching some of my favourite shows. A few of my favourite shows are The X-Files, Twin Peaks, Orange is the New Black and Rick and Morty.

LIST 5 SONGS THAT MAKE YOU HAPPY

1) Afterglow by All Time Low 

This is my favourite song from the new All Time Low album. It makes me feel really summery and just happy.

Favourite Lyrics: “Can’t stay here but you can’t go home Did you hear that line somewhere before?”

2) Kiwi by Harry Styles

This song is fantastic! It was the first of Harry Style’s new songs that I heard. I planned on not listening to his new music at all but my younger sister played me this randomly and I loved it. I love the direction that he has taken with his music!

Favourite Lyrics: “When she’s alone, she goes home to a cactus In a black dress, she’s such a such an actress.” These are the best lyrics I have have heard to say the girl goes home to her boyfriend who is a prick.

3) Reptilia by The Strokes

I love this song! It always reminds me of the time I played a cover of it live with a band I was in for 2 years. I loved playing songs live and it is always nice to be reminded of it.

Favourite Lyrics: “I though I told you this world is not for you”

4) Mr Blue Sky by Electric Light Orchestra 

This song always makes me want to dance. After seeing Baby Groot dance to this song it makes me even happier. It is just such a cheerful and happy song and I always enjoy listening to it.

Favourite Lyrics: “See how the sun shines brightly in the city on the streets where once was pity”

5) Honey I’m Good by Andy Grammer

This song is another that just makes me dance. I listened to this song a lot when I first got my car and it reminds me of all the nights I drove to work over winter.

Favourite Lyrics: “It’s been a long night here, and a long night there and these long, long legs are damn near everywhere”
