I can’t quite believe how well I did in March sticking to my book buying goal! I made a promise to myself at the start of the March that I would only spend £30 on book throughout the March. Not only did I stick to this goal, I didn’t even spend £30! I only bought 2 books in March! I was gifted a couple of books in March as well! This book haul is going to be shorter than usual but here is my March book haul!
Right at the start of March I went to Manchester to go and see Twenty One Pilots live at the Manchester Arena. I just so happened to have an hour free before I went into the concert which meant only one thing, I called into Waterstones! Whilst there I picked up The Truth About Keeping Secrets by Savannah Brown. I very promptly read it and reviewed it (which you can find here), so it was definitely worth the Waterstones trip!
I didn’t step foot in another bookstore for the rest of March! I don’t quite understand how this happened but I was so busy throughout March. I just haven’t had the chance which means I haven’t had the opportunity to properly browse a bookshop like I normally would do! Hopefully I will have more opportunities throughout April!
I did get the chance to go to the Northern YA Literary Festival in March though. It was a lovely day pack full of books, friends, authors and panels. There also happened to be some publisher stalls there too! I bought Tamsin in the Dark by Neill Cameron and Kate Brown from one of the stalls and I cannot wait to begin reading it!
Whilst at the NYA Lit Fest I picked out a few ARCs that lovely publishers had gifted for the event! I picked up No Big Deal by Bethany Rutter from the My Kinda Book’s stall, a book I have been excited about for a while! I then picked up The Girl Who Came out of the Woods by Emily Barr and The Gifted, the Talented and Me by William Sutcliffe from another stall!
Overall, March was an excellent month for me when it comes to saving money instead of buying a lot of books. I still bought some books though. I imagine that in April I will be buying more as I have a lot of anticipated releases!
What books have did you buy in March? What books are you excited for in April? Let me know in the comments below.
I have a few of these on my TBR but Tamsin in the Dark looks great! Here are my March books: http://silverbuttonbooks.com/2019/03/28/books-i-bought-when-i-was-sad

I had a similar March. I went to a bookstore for one book, and the other book I received as a gift. It is such a great feeling, saving money. Looks like an exciting haul! I hope you enjoy the ones you haven’t read yet!
