What Happened in May?

What Happened in?

May has been on the quieter side for me this year and it has been lovely. The last few months have been a whirlwind of time so it was lovely to slow down for a month. I did do quite a lot this month and read a lot too. Here is what happened in May!

I’ve had another good blogging month and posted as much as I wanted too this month! I even had ideas pop into my head for June and May. I am getting better at scheduling posts ahead of time to make things a little easier for me too! I am fully in a blogging stride at the minute! Here are my top 5 posts for May.

Reading Goal.jpg

I’m still extremely happy with how many books I have read this year and the progress I have made with my reading goal. I have now upped my reading goal from 30 books this year to 60 books. I feel happy that I can reach this goal! I am still putting aside £5 for every book I read this year and saving it all up so I have a lot put aside already.

Personal Update.jpg

I have done a lot less this month that I did last month and I can’t lie, it has been lovely to have a more relaxed month.

I started out the month by spending a weekend in Liverpool with my younger sister, Katie. We were originally going to see the band The Vamps at the arena (The Vamps are a band I was obsessed with in my teenage years and then lost interest, but it was lovely to see them live again). We then thought while we were in Liverpool, somewhere we don’t visit often why don’t we stay the night at a hotel so we can relax and go shopping. I had a lovely time in Liverpool with Katie and would love to go back soon.

The next event I went to was the Catfish and the Bottlemen concert in Manchester! I have wanted to see this band live for a number of years and I was not let down. They are spectacular live and I would love to see them again soon!

Halfway through the month I spent a spectacular day with a couple of my best friends Sarah and Sophie doing non-bookish things. We went to a trampolining park, had brunch, eat cake and chatted endlessly. I had such a wonderful day with these lovely ladies! Sarah even wrote a little post about our day which you can find here.

I can’t go a month without a book event and this month’s event was the Ashley Poston and Susan Dennard in conversation at Waterstones Deansgate. This event was wonderful and I had a lovely time. It was also lovely to have my Mum with me at a book event just like when I started blogging,

Very close to the end of the month I was involved in a car accident. I was travelling to work one morning when another person crashed into me and caused a lot of damage to my car. I am waiting to see what happens with the whole situation as the accident wasn’t my fault. I have been in an awful lot of pain since the crash and it has meant it has been pretty hard to do even light tasks. I am taking it easy though and getting better everyday and I know I was extremely lucky. I am just hoping it is all sorted and I feel a lot better before my holiday!

Right at the end of the month I started packing for my holiday to Lanzarote at the start of June! I cannot wait to go away for 10 days and do nothing but chill and read!
