Books on my Wish List!

I love a good book wish list and I’ve been adding to mine for quite a whilst now! I like to occasionally treat myself to books on my wish list and my friends use it as a little gift ideas list! I thought today I’d share with you and discuss some of the books on my wish list. If you want to see the full list click here! Here are some of the books on my wish list!

I Killed Zoe Spanos by Kit Frick

“When Anna Cicconi arrives to the small Hamptons village of Herron Mills for a summer nanny gig, she has high hopes for a fresh start. What she finds instead is a community on edge after the disappearance of Zoe Spanos, a local girl who has been missing since New Year’s Eve. Anna bears an eerie resemblance to Zoe, and her mere presence in town stirs up still-raw feelings about the unsolved case. As Anna delves deeper into the mystery, stepping further and further into Zoe’s life, she becomes increasingly convinced that she and Zoe are connected—and that she knows what happened to her.

Two months later, Zoe’s body is found in a nearby lake, and Anna is charged with manslaughter. But Anna’s confession is riddled with holes, and Martina Green, teen host of the Missing Zoe podcast, isn’t satisfied. Did Anna really kill Zoe? And if not, can Martina’s podcast uncover the truth?”

This has been on my wish list since 28th June this year and I’m so excited about reading it one day. It gets incredible reviews and sounds right up my street. This one might have to be my next treat to myself! If you’ve read this one please let me know your thoughts on it!

Watch Over Me by Nina LaCour

“Mila is used to being alone.

Maybe that’s why she said yes. Yes to a second chance in this remote place, among the flowers and the fog and the crash of waves far below.

But she hadn’t known about the ghosts.

Newly graduated from high school, Mila has aged out of the foster care system. So when she’s offered a teaching job and a place to live on an isolated part of the Northern California coast, she immediately accepts. Maybe she will finally find a new home–a real home. The farm is a refuge, but it’s also haunted by the past. And Mila’s own memories are starting to rise to the surface.”

This one has been on my wish list since 14th May this year. I very recently fell in love with Nina LaCour’s writing and want to read anything she has written so of course this one is on my TBR. I’ve seen a lot of good reviews for this one and I’d love to read it very soon!

Turtle Under Ice by Juleah del Rosario

“Rowena feels like her family is a frayed string of lights that someone needs to fix with electrical tape. After her mother died a few years ago, she and her sister, Ariana, drifted into their own corners of the world, each figuring out in their own separate ways how to exist in a world in which their mother is no longer alive.

But then Ariana disappears under the cover of night in the middle of a snowstorm, leaving no trace or tracks. When Row wakes up to a world of snow and her sister’s empty bedroom, she is left to piece together the mystery behind where Ariana went and why, realizing along the way that she might be part of the reason Ariana is gone.”

This book has been on my wish list since 19th April this year! It is a verse novel with a beautiful cover that I’d love to read and add to my collection! I’ve not actually heard much about this book so I’m going to look into the reviews for it soon and might treat myself to it before the end of the year!

You Owe Me a Murder by Eileen Cook

“17-year-old Kim never expected to plot a murder. But that was before her boyfriend dumped her for another girl. Now, Kim’s stuck on a class trip to London with him and his new soulmate and she can’t help wishing he was a little bit dead, even if she’d never really do that. But when Kim meets Nicki, a stranger on the plane who’s more than willing to listen to Kim’s woes, things start to look up. Nicki’s got a great sense of humour, and when she jokes about swapping murders, Kim plays along – that is, until Kim’s ex-boyfriend mysteriously dies. Blackmailed by Nicki to fulfill her end of the deal, Kim will have to commit a murder or take the fall for one.”

This one has been on my wish list since 11th April this year and I am desperate to read it! It sounds right up my street and has such an intriguing premise. It also has a whole lot of incredible reviews. Maybe this will be a purchase ahead of the Crime Readathon at the end of the month!

Somewhere Only We Know by Maurene Goo

“10:00 p.m.: Lucky is the biggest K-pop star on the scene, and she’s just performed her hit song “Heartbeat” in Hong Kong to thousands of adoring fans. She’s about to debut on The Tonight Show in America, hopefully a breakout performance for her career. But right now? She’s in her fancy hotel, trying to fall asleep but dying for a hamburger.

11:00 p.m.: Jack is sneaking into a fancy hotel, on assignment for his tabloid job that he keeps secret from his parents. On his way out of the hotel, he runs into a girl wearing slippers, a girl who is single-mindedly determined to find a hamburger. She looks kind of familiar. She’s very cute. He’s maybe curious.

12:00 a.m.: Nothing will ever be the same.”

This book has been on my wish list since 17th September last year and it is my dream book. This is what I dreamed about as a teen and exactly what I want to read right now! I would love to buy this for myself very very soon and read it immediately! Bring this book to me!

Those are just a few of the books on my wish list! What is on your wish list? Let me know in the comments below!
