Bank Holiday Book Tag!

Happy Bank Holiday Monday! I thought it was the perfect time to give the Bank Holiday book tag a go. I saw this on Cora’s blog a long while ago and have wanted to do it ever since. Today is the day! Here is the Bank Holiday book tag!

So, what is a typical Bank Holiday like?

Have a lie in. Which book could you lounge in bed with all morning?

I would love to re-read I Was Born for This by Alice Oseman. It would be the perfect book to lounge in bed with for hours. I adore this book and it is one of my favourite books of all times. So, to read this in bed would be the perfect morning!

Oh my goodness, it’s actually sunny outside! A book that makes you feel optimistic?

Instructions for Dancing by Nicola Yoon left me feeling incredibly hopeful and optimistic. It is beautiful and I would highly recommend it. This is certainly a book that will leave you feeling optimistic.

Spend some time outdoors. A book that reminds you of nature?

The World Between Us by Sarah Ann Juckes reminds me of the sea and just general bodies of water. It makes me want to be outside in nature and just listening to the sound of waves whilst reading a book. If you haven’t read the book already I would highly recommend it as you are missing out on a beautiful read!

Make some punch. A book that you find difficult to classify into one genre?

All the Bad Apples by MΓΆira Fowley Doyle! It is a contemporary novel but it has fantasy elements and magical realism weaved throughout. I loved it and think it is best not to categorised into one genre.

Pass some food around. A book you want to share with everyone?

The Loneliest Girl in the Universe by Lauren James is a book I would put into everyones hands if I could. I love this book with all my heart and want everyone to read it! If I could own a infinite supply of this book and hand it out to everyone I certainly would do.

Light the BBQ. A book that took a while to get going?

Yolk by Mary H.K.Choi and I don’t mean that in a bad way whatsoever. I loved this book but it did take me a while to get into it but as soon as I was into it I couldn’t stop reading! I would highly recommend it if you haven’t read it already.

Failed BBQ. A book that ultimately disappointed you?

It Ends with Us by Colleen Hoover really disappointed me. I’d heard so many amazing things about this book and had high hopes when reading it but I was greatly let down. I think it will be forever one of those books that I remember for the disappointment I felt when reading it.

It’s raining. Of course. A book to curl up with when it’s raining outside?

The Heartstopper series by Alice Oseman is perfect for reading when it raining outside. It is cute, adorable and will warm up your insides on a cold and rainy day!

Let’s just eat the chocolate. A book that’s super sweet?

Kisses and Croissants by Anne-Sophie Jouhanneau is as sweet as the name suggests! It is cute, adorable and incredibly sweet and I would highly recommend it!

There you have it, the Bank Holiday book tag! Thank you again to Cora for writing this tag, it was a lot of fun to do. Have a lovely Bank Holiday!
