DIY: TBR Jar

Hello readers, I wasn’t doing much this afternoon so I felt like being creative. The result being this:

The TBR Jar!

I have seen a few people make these and thought I would give it a try. I take forever to pick the next book that I am going to read. So I thought that this would be a a good solution for my little dilemma. Bonus, is that it is really simple to do.

The things you need for this DIY are:

  • A jar
  • Coloured or plain paper
  • A pen
  • Ribbons
  • Washi tape

Step 1 – This is to decorate your jar. When I was decorating my jar I added some spotty washi tape to the lid. Then I tied a few different coloured ribbons around the neck of the jar.

Step 2 – This is to either write or print the names of your TBR books onto coloured or plain paper. I decided to print mine onto different coloured paper, then cut up the paper so each book has its own little strip.

Step 3 – This is to simply just fold up your book names and put them into your jar.

Step 4 – Next thing is to make the label for your jar. Cut out any shape from some paper and write “TBR Jar” onto it.

Step 5 – This is your final step and it is just to stick your label onto your jar.

There you have it your very own TBR Jar. I will definitely be using this to pick my next book. If you make one of your own send me a picture of it to @loisreadsbooks.
