The Sims Book Tag

Screen Shot 2017-03-06 at 19.32.49

Hi guys, it’s Lois. I am so busy with university work at the minute and I am really not feeling my best at the minute but I wanted to do a tag today because there is no top ten Tuesday this week. Me and David were tagged in this by the lovelyย Meghan @ Whimsically Meghan, be sure to check her blog out she is fabulous! It’ll just be me answer questions today because as I’m writing this David is finishing one of his university assignments.

This tag was originally created by Booktuber Hailey in Bookland.

The Original Sims – The Best Author Debut

8
Everything Everything by Nicola Yoon

This was the first book that Nicola Yoon released it is absolutely spectacular. Her writing makes it seems like it is her hundredth book she has written.

The Grim Reaper – Saddest Character Death

The_Fault_in_Our_Stars

Gus from The Fault in Our Stars by John Green

I tried to think of a character death that wouldn’t spoil things too much. I think the hype from this book has been and gone and most people will have read it now. But my personal experience of finding out it was Gus that died destroyed me as a person. I cried for hours because of this book.

Sims Getting Stuck – A Character that just got in the way

4

Eleanor Snow from On the Other Side by Carrie Hope Fletcher

Eleanor Snow just gets so in the way of Evie’s life and it annoyed me so much when I was reading. Obviously it is on purpose for the story but Eleanor Snow really does get in the way for Evie and her story.

Simlish – A Book with Amazing Writing

2

Room by Emma Donoghue

This book has some of the most spectacular writing that I have ever read. I just felt myself getting wrapped up more and more in the story because of how it is written. It is so hard to write from the perspective of a 5 year old when you are a lot older but Emma Donoghue gets its absolutely spot on.

Expansion Pack – A Series where the Books keep on getting better

To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before Series by Jenny Han

I know that this book is a three book series, but the last one has yet to be released. In my opinion this book got so much better in the second instalment. I finished it a lot quicker than the first instalment. I can only imagine that the last instalment will be even better.

Sim Romance – The Worst Case of Insta-Love

61vhe0u9ppl-_sx329_bo1204203200_

The Sun is Also a Star by Nicola Yoon

This book has the worst case of insta-love ever. I still liked the story but it just had the worst case of insta-love I have ever read. ย It is completely unrealistic and that is something that I don’t like in books but still somehow the overall story made me really enjoy this book.

Cheats – A Book that was Entirely Unrealistic

Yoon_9780553496680_jkt_all_r1.indd

The Sun is Also a Star by Nicola Yoon

Sorry to use this book twice but this is all I can think of when someone says entirely unrealistic. It is so unrealistic I felt like I was in a new dream world when I was reading it. No one can fall in love in one day surely, so this book is just too unrealistic for me.

Needs Fulfilment – A Character who made all the Wrong Decisions

25546710ย

Hawthorn from The Hundred Lies of Lizzie Lovett

Poor Hawthorn makes so many wrong decisions but I think they are all for a reason. I felt sorry for her the entire book and this was made worse by the fact that I related to her quite a bit in this story.

Error Code 12 – A Series that Started off Great but went Downhill from there

2767052

The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins

I had so much hope for this series. The first book I really enjoyed but I enjoyed the second book even more and that is where it went completely downhill. I felt so let down by the final book. It just went too fast and ruined the entire series for me.

The Sims Vortex – A Books/Series that Completely Engrossed you

1b

Holding up the Universe by Jennifer Niven

This book is one that I just got completely lost in. I didn’t want to put it down. I remember carrying it with me everywhere. Even to work where I only have a 15 minute break and wouldn’t be able to read it at all but I just had to have it on my person so I could read it when I had 5 minutes spare.

      1. I’m only in my 1st year but it really isn’t for me. So I am currently in the struggle of finding myself a job in media and design instead. A month and a half left and uni will be over!

      2. Ah fair enough. I knew uni wasn’t going to be for me so I went straight into an apprenticeship instead and now work full time in marketing ๐Ÿ™‚
I hope your job search goes well! At least it’s all over soon

  1. Hawthorne really did make horrible choices, didn’t she? LOL. I just wanted to grab her and shake her, shouting “This is not appropriate!” It’s also kinda why I loved her.

  2. Yay! I’m glad you enjoyed the tag! ๐Ÿ˜€ I couldn’t agree more with the Hunger Games, I read the second book in a day! Then when I got to the third it was just kinda meh, like really that’s how all of this is going to go down? I do plan to re-read them again since it’s been years since I read it last! ๐Ÿ™‚
