Hey everyone! I was tagged by the wonderful Sophie @ Blameitonchocolate not so long ago. Sophie is such a lovely blogger and has review, tags, giveaways and more on her blog! Be sure to check her out!
Without further ado, here is the rapid fire book tag!
The Questions:
1) E-book or Physical book?
At the minute I have been reading a lot of e-books. But nothing can beat the satisfaction of having the physical book in your hands.
2) Paperback or Hardback?
I would always pick Paperback over Hardback. Hardbacks are too bulky and heavy for me even if they are beautiful. I would much rather have the light-weight Paperback.
3) Online or In-Store Book Shopping?
Going into bookstores is one of my favourite hobbies. The staff in my local bookstores all know me by name because of how often I go to the bookstores. They even recommend books to me when I walk in. I do shop online sometimes, the books are cheaper online but I like to support my local bookstores.
4) Trilogies or Series?
I don’t mind either way, but trilogies tend to round the story off a lot better than series in my opinion. Plus, series can sometime be a little too long.
5) Heroes or Villains?
Again, I don’t mind either way. If they are well written I will enjoy both. As long as the villains aren’t miserable and the heroes aren’t impeccable.
6) A Book You Want Everyone To Read?
I know that this is going to sound stereotypical but I have to say Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone by J.K Rowling. I just think everyone should at least give it a chance because they it is part of an incredible series.
7) Recommend an Underrated Author?
I would have to say Kim Slater. I loved her book A Seven Letter Word and she really does not get the credit that she should do for the fantastic books that she has written. If you are a fan of young adult and coming-of-age stories I would check her out!
8) The Last Book You Finished?
All I Ever Wanted by Lucy Dillon
9) Weirdest Thing You’ve Used as a Bookmark?
I use receipts as bookmarks quite often, as well as postcards. But I do own a lot of actual bookmarks.
10) Used Books: Yes or No?
I used to hate used books, especially if they were in bad condition. But now I like them, I don’t mind if books aren’t ‘perfect’.
11) Top Three Favourite Genres?
Young Adult, Contemporary and Dystopian.
12) Borrow or Buy?
I always like to buy my own books. That way I can take time reading them. Also, I can re-read that as much as I want to. But I might borrow a book from a library or a friend if I’m not sure it is for me.
13) Character or Plot?
I couldn’t choose between either, you really need both of them for a good story.
14) Long or Short Books?
It really depends on my mood. Sometimes I like longer books whereas other times I like shorter stories that I can read quickly.
15) Name The First Three Books You Think Of
Faceless by Alyssa B. Sheinmel
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them: The Original Screenplay by J.K Rowling
Holding Up the Universe – Jennifer Niven
16) Books That Make You Laugh or Cry?
I enjoy both. It really does depend on my mood. Sometime I want to cry at a book but sometime all I want is a laugh.
17) Our World or Fictional Worlds?
I like our world, but also like fictional worlds sometimes. If the books and its settings are entertaining I will like them.
18) Audio Books: Yes or No?
I really enjoy audio books. The are really convenient for me to listen to whilst at work. I currently stack shelves in a supermarket so I need something to keep me entertain. Audio books are definitely the solution to this. But I really need to like the narrator’s voice and their playing of the characters.
19) Do You Ever Judge a Book by it’s Cover?
Sadly yes I do.
20) Book to Movie or Book to TV Adaptations?
If this was concerning Harry Potter I would definitely say book to movie. But thanks to the recent A Series of Unfortunate Events TV adaption (which I loved!) I really enjoy book to TV adaption. So I would have to say it depends on the book.
21) A Movie or TV-Show You Preferred to its Book?
The Lord of the Rings

Thank you for tagging me! I’ve never liked hardback books – they’re so uncomfortable to hold when you’re reading for hours! 😦

I thought Lord of the Rings was better as a film too. I read the first book, and I tried to read the second, but halfway through I had to let it go. I’m ashamed to admit, I usually struggle with the classics.

It was better as a film I think. I also really struggle with classic books.
