September is a Wrap!

Hey guys, it’s Lois. September has I think the busiest month this year for me! I had interview upon interview, more on that later. October is upon us and my birthday is just 2 days away! Let’s wrap-up September.

This month in terms of reading was bad. I have been way too busy in September to sit down and read as much as I would like to. I’ve been working late most nights and when I get back home about 10:30pm I have no energy left to read. So, I have only read one book this month.

This month I read, When Dimple Met Rishi by Sandhya Menon.

I think I posted quite a lot this month considering how little time I had spare to blog. I love blogging so much and I hate not being able blogging as much as I would like to. So, in October I plan on getting really organised when it comes to writing blog posts, scheduling and then posting then. Here are my top 5 posts from September!

Screen Shot 2017-10-02 at 14.45.23.pngI decided to think realistically when it came my reading goal for 2017. I have now made my goal 30 books instead of 40. Thanks to doing that I am now on track with my goal! I feel that by doing this I won’t feel as much pressure to read books quickly to get on track with my goal. I might even read over 30 books this year. I am just so happy to be finally on track when it comes to a reading goal!

This month started in a quite a disappointing way. The job that I thought I had didn’t work out. The company wasn’t for me and I really didn’t fit into the company and stuck out like a sore thumb. I am currently trying to go full-time at my part-time job until I get a job in the media industry.

IMG_3935I met an idol of mine in September! I finally got to meet Carrie Hope Fletcher. She is so lovely and talented. So much so that I went to see her in the musical she is performing in the UK at the minute after I had met her a couple of times. I also booked myself tickets to a few more book events for upcoming months. I am going to the Holly Bourne book event on Thursday 5th October. Then I will be meeting Tom Fletcher at the end of October.

A lot has happened in September when it comes to dogs. My dog Maggie seems to miss me when I am gone as she has been sneaking into my room and sleeping on my bed when I am not there. On the right is a picture of her being found by my Mum and Dad one morning curled up next to my pillow looking extremely guilty.  Another thing that happened technically not in September but on the 1st of October was that me and David found a lost dog. Whilst driving we found a lost Westie on a main road. Obviously we had to stop and make sure she was ok. We asked round a few houses but no one seems to know the dog. She had a collar on but no name tag or microchip. After taking her home checking she was ok and feeding her, through the power of Facebook we found her owner! The dog we had found was 15 years old and called Roxy and had never been lost before. The owners were extremely grateful that we had found her and cared for her and me and David finally relaxed knowing that the owner had their dog back. It was an eventful day!
