Today post is the first Standalone Sunday I have done in ages!
Standalone Sunday is a weekly meme created by Megan @ Bookslayerreads. Every Sunday we make a post about a standalone book, so one that is not part of a series. There is an awful lot of focus are books that are part of a series, so it is always nice to feature a standalone book.
This weeks Standalone Sunday book is When Dimple Met Rishi by Sandhya Menon
Published: 30th May 2017
Synopsis:
“Dimple Shah has it all figured out. With graduation behind her, she’s more than ready for a break from her family, from Mamma’s inexplicable obsession with her finding the “Ideal Indian Husband.” Ugh. Dimple knows they must respect her principles on some level, though. If they truly believed she needed a husband right now, they wouldn’t have paid for her to attend a summer program for aspiring web developers…right?
Rishi Patel is a hopeless romantic. So when his parents tell him that his future wife will be attending the same summer program as him—wherein he’ll have to woo her—he’s totally on board. Because as silly as it sounds to most people in his life, Rishi wants to be arranged, believes in the power of tradition, stability, and being a part of something much bigger than himself.”
My Comments:
This is one of the sweetest books I have read in a long time. I loved it! It is the perfect Summer read. I read this book so quickly and plan on rereading it again this Summer whilst I am on holiday. It just made me smile from ear to ear the whole time I was reading it. My favourite quote from this book is “She refused to be one of those girls who gave up on everything they’d been planning simply because a boy entered the picture.”

Until next time,
Oh my goodness, I just read this book (consumed it really) this weekend! I totally agree. It was just a sweet story. I had one or two tiny little things I didn’t adore but they were more than made up for by the sweet love story. I really appreciated all the traditions that were woven in as well!
