March has really dragged on this year! March has been one rollercoaster of a month and I am glad that is is April. A lot has happened this month and I will discuss this further on in the post.
I am still reading a lot and have read even more than I did last month. I have managed to read 4 books this month. Here are the books I read this month:
- Simon Vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli
- Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff
- Turtles All The Way Down by John Green
- Am I Normal Yet? by Holly Bourne
- I Was Born For This by Alice Oseman
- In Real Life by Cory Doctorow and Jen Wang

I posted a lot less than I did last month. I had a lot going on this month and I have not been in the right head space to write any blog posts. It wasn’t until the end of the month I started writing posts to help me be distracted. Here are my top 5 posts of March:
- Top Ten Tuesday: Favourite Book Quotes
- Book Review: The Exact Opposite of Okay by Laura Steven
- Book Review: Simon Vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli
- Wildest Dreams Book Box Unboxing: Family Ties
- February 2018 is a wrap!
If you read last months wrap-up you will know that me and my Mum are putting aside £5 for every book we read this year. I am currently at £70 and I am very happy with this. This month I have read 6 books. I am currently 7 books ahead of schedule with my reading goal which is amazing for me! I am actually nearly half way to my planned goal for the year. Think I might have to change that soon. I am hoping that I keep reading this many books every month.
March has been one long month for me!
At the beginning of the month I went to the 4th TEENsgate blogger event. I have a post about this which you can find here. I loved seeing all the bloggers again and discussing Love, Simon.
I went to see my friends puppies again this month. They are adorable and growing everyday. I don’t want them to go to new owners because I just want to keep them all to myself. I am so glad she is keeping one of them though. The picture is a Dax who is the biggest of the puppies.
This month I also saw Niall Horan, George Ezra and All Time Low in concert. My sister took my to see Niall Horan with her one Thursday night and we had seat really close to the stage. It was weird seeing him on his own and not with One Direction but he was excellent. I went to see All Time Low the day after with my Dad. It is the 4th time I have seen them, they are my favourite band and I was so happy to spend an evening listening to their music again. I saw George Ezra on the 30th March with my whole family and he was extraordinary, he looks so happy on stage.
I also went to the Northern YA Literature Festival this month. I had so much fun there and will be doing an in-depth post on the event very soon!
Now to the reason I haven’t been blogging much this month. I am not going to go into a lot of detail because it is obviously quite personal. David’s Grandma, who I think of as my own Grandma and I am extremely close to passed away at the end of the month. She hasn’t been well for a long time but it is just getting worse and worse. We had been going to see her daily for quite a while and it is horrible to see someone you love in pain. Me and David were very close to her and aren’t coping the best at the minute. If you could all think about her and us as a family that would be wonderful. She is such a wonderful woman and I love her a lot! She gave me her ring the day before she passed away, the ring meant a lot to her and now means a lot to me.
On a lighter note, a lot is happening in April as well in terms of concerts. I am going to see Harry Styles with my sister but the thing I am most excited about is that I am finally going to see Hamilton in London! I am so excited!
There you have it, March is finally over! This month has gone so quickly! I can’t wait to see what April holds.
