A lot of books are being released throughout July and I am so excited about a number of them! I cannot wait to pick up my own copies of these books!
Floored by Sara Barnard, Holly Bourne, Tayna Byrne, Non Pratt, Melinda Salisbury, Lisa Williamson and Eleanor Wood
“When they got in the lift, they were strangers (though didn’t that guy used to be on TV?): Sasha, who is desperately trying to deliver a parcel; Hugo, who knows he’s the best-looking guy in the lift and is eyeing up Velvet, who knows what that look means when you hear her name and it doesn’t match the way she looks, or the way she talks; Dawson, who was on TV, but isn’t as good-looking as he was a few years ago and is desperately hoping no one recognizes him; Kaitlyn, who’s losing her sight but won’t admit it, and who used to have a poster of Dawson on her bedroom wall, and Joe, who shouldn’t be here at all, but who wants to be here the most.
And one more person, who will bring them together again on the same day every year.”
I am so excited about this book! I cannot wait to try and figure out which character was written by each author.

Access All Awkward by Beth Garrod
“Bella Fisher is stuck in EXAM HELL – with only the promise of a weekend at a cool festival with her mates as a reward afterwards. OK, so she can’t actually afford a ticket and will have to work as a litter picker and toilet scrubber, but it’s still going to be epic: the best bands, her best friends and best-boy-in-the-world Adam, with not a parent or teacher in sight. But when she arrives to find annoying older sister Jo has been sent by Mum to keep an eye on her, things go from bad to worse. BFF Rachel is hanging out with some mean girls, awful ex-boyfriend Luke pitches up with his model girlfriend and her pristine Hunter wellies, and the drummer in her favourite band is exposed as a sexist pig. All the face glitter and flower crowns in the world can’t save the day… can they?”
I will always automatically buy books by Beth Garrod. Especially the ones in this series, I cannot wait to give this one a read.

All These Beautiful Strangers by Elizabeth Klehforth
“In the last day of summer, Grace Fairchild, the beautiful young wife of real estate mogul Allister Calloway, vanished from the family’s lake house without a trace, leaving behind her seven-year old daughter, Charlie, and a slew of unanswered questions.
Years later, seventeen-year-old Charlie still struggles with the dark legacy of her family name and the mystery surrounding her mother. Determined to finally let go of the past, she throws herself into life at Knollwood, the prestigious New Englandschool she attends. Charlie quickly becomes friends with Knollwood’s “it” crowd.”
This book has intrigued me for a while. I love a good book full of mystery, especially at the minute when all I want to read is mystery books!

Paper Avalanche by Lisa Williamson
“Stevie is the girl no-one notices – she doesn’t go to parties and she doesn’t have friends over. Besides, even if anyone tried to call on her they’d discover that no. 56 isn’t her house at all – it’s her decoy house, where she tells people to pick her up and drop her off so she can hide who she really is and where she really lives. And she certainly doesn’t have a best friend because having friends means opening up, telling the truth and there is one secret she can never risk revealing again. But when Tanvi turns up, Stevie starts to put other things before her secret first – like her love of singing, her crush on good looking and popular Luke, her budding friendship with the adorable Tanvi – and it’s only a matter of time before everything comes out and everything changes! Sometimes it’s better to be lonely because having friends in your life can mean revealing more secrets than you would ever want to.”
Lisa Williamson is an author I never hear bad things about. I want to give one of her books a read before I go to YALC and I think this one would be perfect.
