Birthday Celebrations!

birthday.pngI have just come back from a wonderful weekend away in Edinburgh with my boyfriend, David to celebrate my 22nd birthday (I will be doing a post on this very shortly). This past couple of weeks celebrating my birthday has been wonderful and I really wanted to write a post to talk about and remember the wonderful weekend I had with my best friends the weekend before my birthday!

The weekend started out with me arriving at my wonderful best friend Sophie’s house after work! At her house were Charlotte and Sarah! Charlotte had travelled up from Wales which I was so grateful for, we don’t get to see each other often and being about to spend a weekend with her was spectacular. Saturday night was spent playing games like Cards Against Humanity and being entertained by Sophie’s adorable nephew Seth.

I got some amazing presents off my friends including a copy of Over the Top by Jonathan Van Ness which I have been wanting to read for such a long time and this hilarious picture that Charlotte made of me and my favourite people Steve and Tom!

We had a few plans for what we wanted to do on the Sunday, including brunch, painting some pots and a good trip to a book store!

We started out Sunday going to Upper Mill to the Reclamation Room for a delicious brunch. I have been here before with Sarah and Sophie and it was so nice to take Charlotte too. I had a delicious hot chocolate and scrambled eggs of toast. It was the perfect start to the day!

The plan was the then go and paint a pot in Upper Mill but the shop was closed! Don’t worry though we had a plan B! Back to Sophie’s we went for a little chill and to eat some cake and then we set off to Manchester!

Whilst in Manchester we went to Emily’s Paint a Pot and painted some pots. I painted a cute pumpkin, Charlotte painted an incredible tea light holder and Sarah and Sophie painted gorgeous little coasters. It was so much fun and so relaxing and something I will be doing again no doubt!

After we painted pots we took a quick trip to Waterstones, took Charlotte back to the train station and the weekend was already over, just like that!

I had such a wonderful weekend with my best friends and it was so nice to see them all around my birthday. I am so lucky to have met Sarah, Sophie and Charlotte and don’t know what I would do without them. Thank you so much for such a lovely weekend and I love you all a lot!
