I’m still managing to keep my book requesting on Netgalley to a minimum and I’ve been reading a lot of them. Somehow, I still have a number of books on there that I need to read soon. I’ve still managing to keep my feedback ratio over 90% thought which I’m happy about.
I started writing these posts to show what was on my Netgalley TBR and to hold myself accountable when it comes to reading them. So, here are some of the books on my Netgalley TBR / shelf at the moment!

Irresponsible Adult by Lucy Dillon
Sisters Cleo and Robyn may be close in age but their attitudes to life could not be further apart. While Cleo’s a fully-fledged adult with a family, a business and a signature scent, Robyn is still waiting for the instruction manual to Adult Life and success is keeping her houseplant alive. Skating by at her job as an estate agent, she’s adept at avoiding housework, ignoring admin, and evading her mother’s anxious questions about her love life. But then Robyn’s fired in the most publicly humiliating way imaginable – and her chaos catches up with her.
Although Cleo steps in to give Robyn a temporary job in her cleaning firm, it comes with very firm instructions: Robyn must BEHAVE RESPONSIBLY. And that includes meeting the high standards of Jim, her enigmatic supervisor. But when Robyn learns to navigate the catastrophic kitchens and judgemental dogs of total strangers she learns some unexpected truths about her own messy world. No one’s life is spotless…

I’ve read a few books by Lucy Dillon in the past so I was intrigued by this new release from her. It has got some excellent reviews in the lead up to and since its release. I think it will be the perfect book to read when I’m in the mood for something light-hearted.
Slow Dance by Rainbow Rowell
Back in high school, everybody thought Shiloh and Cary would end up together . . . everybody but Shiloh and Cary.
They were just friends. Best friends. They spent entire summers sitting on Shiloh’s porch steps, dreaming about the future. Shiloh was going to become an actress, and Cary was going to join the Navy. And nothing was ever going to change between them – Shiloh made him promise.
Well, Shiloh did go to college, and Cary did join the Navy. But, somehow, everything changed.
Now it’s been fourteen years since Shiloh last spoke to Cary. She’s been married and divorced. She has two kids. And she’s back in north Omaha living in the same house she grew up in. Her life is nothing like she planned.
When Shiloh gets invited to an old friend’s wedding, all she can think about is whether Cary will be there – and whether she hopes he will be.

I’ve adored all the books I’ve read by Rainbow Rowell in the past so of course I was excited to see there was another on the way. This one sounds incredible. It is a slow burn, friends-to-lovers romance which has me very intrigued. I cannot wait to give this one a read very soon.
What A Way To Go by Bella Mackie
Anthony Wistern is wealthy beyond imagination. Fragrant wife, gaggle of photogenic children, French chateau, Cotswold manor, plethora of mistresses, penchant for cutting moral corners, tick tick tick tick tick tick.
Unfortunately for him, he’s also dead. Suddenly poised to inherit his fortune, each member of the family falls under suspicion.
And that’s when the lying starts…

I’m currently reading this one and so far I’m enjoying it. Bella Mackie seems to write captivating, humorous and fast-paced novels that you can get hooked into immediately. I’ve no doubt that I will enjoy the rest of the book and I cannot wait to read more and share my thoughts.
Nothing Like the Movies by Lynn Painter
For a few beautiful months, Wes and girl-next-door Liz were together. But right as the two were about to set off to UCLA together, tragedy struck and their relationship ended.
Flash forward and Wes and Liz find themselves in college, together. In a healthier place now, Wes knows he broke Liz’s heart, but is determined to make her fall back in love with him. And he has a foolproof plan to win her back with the rom-com worthy big gestures she loves. Only … Liz will have none of it. Wes has to scheme like a rom-com hero to figure out how to see her. Even worse, Liz has a new friend…a guy friend.
Still, Wes won’t give up and is determined to win back Liz’s affection. But after his best efforts get him nowhere, he’s is left wondering if their relationship is really over for good.

Ever since reading Better than the Movies, I’ve been hoping that a sequel would be released. You can imagine my excitement when I saw that there was and that it was on Netgalley. I requested it immediately! I cannot wait to read this one and see what happens with Liz and Wes.

There you have it, some of the books that are on my Netgalley shelf/TBR at the minute! What have you got on your Netgalley shelf and what are you excited to read? Let me know in the comments!
