Hey guys, it’s Lois, today is a special post! This is going to be a guest post/interview with Emma @ It’sareader’slife. I have been reading Emma’s blog for quite a while now so I was super excited to do a guest post with her. Don’t forget to check out her blog next Friday as I will be a part of her Feature Friday!
So, let’s get on with her guest post/interview.
Hi Emma, when did you start your book blog and why?
I started It’s A Reader’s Life in August of last year and there’s a couple of reasons why. The first reason is out of boredom. It was the summer holidays and I was running out of things to do so I though hey, why not start a book blog. The second reason is my uni application, it sounds really bad but I thought it would give me a bit of an edge seeing as I was applying for English Lit. I’d also been following a few book blogs for a while anyway so I thought it would be cool to start my own.
If you could only read one book for the rest of your life what would it be?
I can’t imagine only being able to read one book forever, that would be awful! I’d probably say something by Sarah Dessen because her books are my happy place. Maybe The Truth About Forever.
What do you think is the best thing about book blogging?
Meeting other people who love to read. I love reading comments and interacting with other bloggers.
What do you think is the worst thing about book blogging?
I am the worst at keeping up to date with regular posts so I’d probably say that
What is your dream job and why?
Either being an author or taking this blog full time. Anything to do with books I’d be pretty happy with.
If you could meet one author dead or alive who would it be and why?
Alive would be Sarah Dessen because she is my all-time favourite author and a dead author I’d like to meet would be Louise Rennison. Louise’s books are huge in the UK and when she passed away a short while ago I was devastated. Her books remind me of my early teens
If you had the power to make everyone in the world read one book, what would it be and why?
I’d probably pick something that has an important and educational meaning. I loved Noughts and Crosses by Malorie Blackman which was a novel about racism, it was a real eye opener
If you could have any book or film character as a best friend who would it be and why?
There’s so many! I love Cammie from the Gallagher Girls series because she’s really bad-ass and I think she’d give great advice
What is one interesting fact about yourself?
I’m honestly the most uninteresting person ever! Umm, I’m from the same town as Ed Sheeran. Is that interesting? (Yes it is Emma, it isn’t too far from me either!)
What are you currently reading?
I’m in-between books at the moment because I just finished reading The Madness by Alison Rattle. I’m trying to decide between You Are Here by Jennifer E Smith and Fantastic Beasts by J.K Rowling. Which should I go for? (I would go for Fantastic Beasts personally, I loved it an read it so quickly!)
Thank you so much Emma for that, I loved learning more about you! Be sure to check out her blog I love reading her new posts! Don’t forget my post on her Feature Friday next week!

Until next time,
Being from the same town as Ed Sheeran is really interesting! The first thing I wonder is if Castle on the Hill is talking about your town. 🙂

If you do bump into him, you’ll totally have to take a picture and put it on your blog. Now every time I hear that song I’m going to picture you driving on those country lanes. hahaha

Haha, I’ll put that picture everywhere if I ever met him. I’m obsessed!
