The A-Z Book Tag

Screen Shot 2018-04-14 at 19.43.52.png

I was recently watching a few of Maddie and Bee‘s videos and saw this tag on their channel. It looked a lot of fun to do and I thought I would give it a go!

A – Author you’ve read the most books from

I have to say Roald Dahl for this. I read all of his children’s books when I was younger and have reread a lot of them since my childhood. Even after so many years he is still one of my favourite authors

B – Best sequel you’ve read

I actually enjoyed Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins more than I liked The Hunger 9781408883617Games. The sequel packed a bigger punch for me and it got me so much more involved with the story.

C – Currently reading

I am currently reading Skylarks by Karen Gregory. I am loving this book and a lot and cannot wait to see what happens!

D – Drink of choice whilst reading

I am not a big hot drinks fan and have one every drank 2 cups of tea in my life and I hate the taste of coffee. So, when I am reading the drink I am most likely to have next to me is water but sometimes I will stretch to having a caramel hot chocolate.

E – E-Reader or physical book

I like both. I am a big fan of reading my kindle when I am led in bed, it is the only thing I can read with if I want to lie down and read. I wear glasses so cannot lie down and read with them on and struggle to lie down and read a physical book without my glasses on. I 34325090can read a kindle though. If I am sat up and it is during the day I am most like to pick up a physical book. They both have there advantages and disadvantages for me so I like both.

F – Fictional character you would be friends with in highschool

I would have to say Angel from I Was Born For This by Alice Oseman. I feel that me and her have a lot in common and would obsess over a boyband together. I obsessed over boybands in high school so I can imagine we would be friends obsessing over boybands together.

G – Glad you gave this book a chance

Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff, I bought this book after so many recommendations for it but it sat in my room for a long time. I didn’t think I was going to be a fan of it but I am so glad I gave it a chance because this book is spectacular!

H – Hidden Gem Book

I have to mention Countless by Karen Gregory here. Not many people have heard of this gem of a book. This book made me laugh, made me cry and gave me a long book hangover. I want people to know about this book and give it a read because it is not a book to miss out on.

I – Important moment in your reading life

When I started my book blog, I started this is August 2016 and haven’t regretted it since. I 38464193.jpghave made so many wonderful friends through blogging and have had so many amazing experiences. I am so glad I took the plunge to start my blog.

J – Just finished

I just finished reading More Than We Can Tell by Brigid Kemmerer. I loved this book so much and will be posting a review for it very soon!

K – Kind of books you won’t read

Fantasy, I really cannot get into this book genre and don’t think I ever will. I don’t know what it is about this genre but I really don’t find it entertaining. Sorry to all the fantasy lovers out there!

L – Longest book you’ve read

23395680Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by J.K Rowling which is 766 pages long. I read this whilst I was in high school

M – Major Book Hangover

Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff, I couldn’t pick up another book for a good week once I had finished reading Illuminae, I just couldn’t stop thinking about it!

N – Number of book cases you own

None! My books are all under my bed in boxes because I do not have room in my bedroom for books. This makes it so hard work to find a particular book but it is the best I can do at the minute.

O – One book you’ve read multiple times

I have read Matilda by Roald Dahl many times over the years and like reading it at least once a year.

P – Preferred place to read

thehateugiveYou are most likely to find me reading in my bed. Although I do enjoy sitting in a big armchair and reading!

Q – Quote that inspires you

It would have to be the quote on in the picture on the left from The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas.

R – Reading regret

Adding so many books to my TBR when I am really excited about them and not reading the straight away.

S – Series started and need to finish

The Illuminae Series. I have the last two books to read and I want to read them soon.

T – Three all time favourite books

  1. The Loneliest Girl in the Universe by Lauren James
  2. Simon Vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli
  3. Always and Forever, Lara Jean by Jenny Han

unnamed-3U – Unapologetic fangirl for

Lauren James, I cannot help it! Her books are incredible and she is so lovely. She knows I am obsessed with her work but she is so lovely I don’t mind that she knows

V – Very excited for this release

I Was Born For This by Alice Oseman. I cannot wait for this book to be out in the work and I cannot wait to discuss it with more people!

W – Worse Bookish Habit

Reading multiple books at once and getting confused which storyline belongs to which and which characters are from which book. I need to stop doing this!

X – X-Marks the spot, the 27th book on your book shelf

I don’t have bookshelves so I am going to do this slightly differently. I am going to see what the 27th book in my all the books I own Goodreads shelf is when it is in 9781408883525alphabetical order. Which means I got Night Owls by Jenn Bennett.

Y – Latest Book Purchase

I bought Letters to the Lost by Brigid Kemmerer right after finishing More Than We Can Tell because I needed more of her writing.

Z – Z snatcher, book that took away your sleep

I stayed up till about 4am to finish Super Awkward by Beth Garrod after starting it at 9pm the evening before. I just couldn’t put it down.
