Hey! Today’s post is my stop on the Theatrical blog tour. I was lucky enough to land a part on the Theatrical blog tour. I posted my review of this book earlier today which you can find here. This post is going to be a little bit of a story time about my love theatre, so here is why I love theatre!
I have been going to the theatre ever since I was tiny (not that I’m that tall now)! My Mum took me to see a theatre production of Beauty and the Beast, which has been a favourite film of mine since I was young and seeing it live made me fall in love with theatre.
I remember going to watch Mary Poppins with my family in Manchester for my birthday, I became ill during the first half so only saw 20 minutes of the show, as you can imagine I was distraught. My Mum a few months later surprised me with tickets to see Mary Poppins again and this time I got to watch the full show and I loved it. I have seen it 4 times now and could watch it over and over again as it is easily on of my favourite shows ever.
I have seen so many shows over my 20 years of life and each has given m a difference experience. Most recently I got to go and see Hamilton in London. I have been waiting to see Hamilton for at least 2 year now and it was everything and more than I hoped it would be. I left the show in tears and the minute I got back to my hotel room I was looking for more tickets. I am going to see Hamilton again in January of next year and cannot wait.
Theatres are a place to escape and have a night or afternoon of enjoyment. A couple of hours to focus on the stage and enjoy what is being shown to you. I love the theatre and love going to see theatre shows. I wish I had more theatres near me because I would never leave them!
