I have seen this tag floating around for a long while and have always wanted to do it. I finally had the time to sit down and take part in this book tag. It is such a fun book tag to do! Here is the Aesthetically Pleasing book tag!
Best Colour Combination on a Book Cover
The Loneliest Girl in the Universe by Lauren James
There is something about this book that just draws me in. The black behind the galaxy/star colours works perfectly. It is the perfect cover to show off what the night sky can sometimes look like. I want to take a picture one day that shows off the colours of this books cover.
Best Typography/Font on a Book Cover
A Seven Letter Word by Kim Slater
I love the typography on this book. It sums up the book perfectly but not only that, it stands out because it is just a little bit different. I love scrabble which meant that this book has always stood out for me.
Best Simple Cover
Dear Evan Hansen by Val Emmich
When you have read this book or listened to/watched the musical you will understand this cover. It is so simple but holds so much meaning to the story. I love how simple this cover is but at the same time how much of an effect it has on the reader.
Best Endpages and Best Map
Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi
These are just gorgeous endpages because it incorporates the beautiful map! This also answers what is meant to be next question about the best map. I just think this book has to be my answer for both of the question because the map is incredible and then the map as the end pages makes me love this book even more.
Best Naked Hardback
Matilda by Roald Dahl – 30th Anniversary Edition – Chief Executive of the British Library
I bought this book at the weekend and it has immediately gone to the top of my favourite naked hardback covers. It is so beautiful and I love this quote so much!
Best Back Cover
On The Other Side by Carrie Hope Fletcher
I love the back cover of this book, it is so simple, yet so effective with what is included on it. The little images hold so much meaning. It is simple but sums up the book perfectly and I love the bag of this book so much.
Best Chapter Headers
The Harry Potter Series by J.K Rowling
These chapter headings are just beautiful and I love them so much. I don’t think the British editions I read as a child had these but I know the American editions certainly do! They just add so much to the chapter and it’s title.
Best Illustrations
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by J.K Rowling, illustrated by Jim Kay
I think this book is one of the most beautiful books out there at the minute. I love the illustrations in this book and how different the characters in this book appear than in the film. It changes how you see a character and I just think it is so beautiful!
Best Spine
Harry Potter Series by J.K Rowling
This seems like Harry Potter overload but I love this series spines and how they all stand out on the shelf. I just think they are excellent and are perfectly designed.
Favourite Cover on my Shelf
Skylarks by Karen Gregory
I think this cover is stunning, yet simple and it is so beautiful. It stands out to me all the time and I love it so much. This book is beautiful and the cover complements it so much.
There you have it, the Aesthetically Pleasing Book Tag! I really enjoyed doing this tag. Although I am not tagging anyone in this, please let me know if you have done or are planning on doing this tag, I would love to read them.
