Hello all, I am back again with yet another book haul. This month was the month I tried to keep up with a book ban and we all know how that goes. In February I bought an entire series, a couple of books and then was gifted quite a few early copies. Now, March is the month I am going to put the book buying ban in place and properly, but it is NYA this month and a trip to London planned so we shall she how that goes. I will highlight in brackets next to any books if they were gifted. So, here is my February book haul.
At the start of February I took yet another trip to Manchester. They aren’t really tips any more I spend so much time there but oh well. Whilst I was there I bought a couple of books. I picked up What Kind of Girl by Alyssa Sheinmel andΒ Diary of a Confused Feminist by Kate Weston.
Next up a colleague at work was wonderful and sent me a couple of proofs that had been sent to his team and he wouldn’t read. I have read one of them and can’t wait to read the other. They were, Run Rebel by Manjeet Mann (gifted), which my review of is coming very soon and Pretty Funny by Rebecca ElliotΒ (gifted).
The next book I got was my pre-order of Heartstopper Volume 3 by Alice Oseman. I pre-ordered this way back in 2019 and ordered the doodled and signed edition and I love it. I am actually going to an Alice Oseman signing this month so might take it along so it can be personalised.
In February I decided I wanted to re-read the entire A Series of Unfortunate Events series by Lemony Snicket. So, I went round charity shops and websites online and managed to buy all 13 books in pretty amazing condition so I finally have the full series and can start my re-read! I am so happy.
Right at the end of the month I received a couple of really excited books in the post. The first was Harrow Lake by Kat Ellis (gifted) which arrived in the coolest packaging ever. It was made to look like a VHS from Blockbuster or Bookbuster and it was incredible! The second book post I got and the last book of the month was The Pieces of Ourselves by Maggie Harcourt (gifted). This came with a cute little sewing kit which I have used already! I cannot wait to read these books! I also won a competition run on Twitter and got gifted a copy of Camp by L.C Rosen (gifted) which I cannot wait to read!
Overall, I ended the month with 20 books more than I started which is absolute madness, I know 13 of these are A Series of Unfortunate Events but still it is so many books. Let’s hope I actually stick to my book buying ban in March. I cannot wait to read all these books and share my thoughts!
What books did you buy in February and what books are you excited for in March? Let me know in the comments!
OK so that’s a lot of books haha. I am always trying to go on a book ban, and I always fail. One day (maybe) I will actually go a month without buying a book.
