Meet the Book Blogger Tag!

I love a good book tag and as soon as I spotted this one, I wanted to give it a go. I feel like it has been a while since I introduced myself and shared a little bit about me. So, I though the meet the book blogger tag would be an excellent way to do this. This tag was created by Samantha and Amber from Bibliomavens.

Here is the meet the book blogger tag!

Who is your all-time favourite book character?

I’m going to have to say Lara-Jean from To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before. That series is my comfort series and she is my comfort character. I adore her so much and love reading her grow and come to know more about herself throughout the book series. So, she is definitely my all-time favourite character.

If you were standard on a desert island, which book would you take with you?

I think I’d take Turtles All the Way Down by John Green. I recently re-read it and I realised just how much I love the book. I’m sure I could re-read it over and over again. John Green’s book are some of my favourite so I feel like he would bring me some comfort whilst stranded.

What’s your most unpopular book opinion?

I would have to say at the moment it is that I do not like Colleen Hoover books. I do not find her books or her writing interesting and I would much rather spend my time reading other books. I feel like the entirety of BookTok would come for me because of this opinion but it is one I am sticking by.

What’s your weirdest bookish habit?

I don’t personally think it is weird but I like to have a physical book, an eBook and an audiobook on-the-go at all times. Having the different formats of books means I read different ones at different times of the day and depending on how I feel. I do tend to make sure they are all from different genres though so that I don’t get confused. But, I love to have one of each on-the-go.

What character would you bring to a family event as your fake partner?

I have literally no idea who I would pick for this one!

What made you decide to start a book blog?

I wanted to share my thoughts about the books I was reading and in turn find people who also loved books. At the time I started my blog, I knew nobody who loved reading and hated not being about to talk about what I was reading. Nearly 6 years later, I have so many bookish friends and I’m part of a community I adore. So, I am very glad I started my blog on a whim.

What about reading and books do you love the most?

It gives me the opportunity to escape the world and learn about other people and their experiences. Books have helped me to learn a lot, opened my eyes and helped me to become a better person. They are amazing.

What is you current job?

I am currently a Library Manager! I manage three little libraries and I love it. I get to be surround by books all day. Even though I don’t have the time whilst I’m working to read them, I do have the opportunity to put them in other people’s hands. My job involves a lot of paperwork and building management. But, quite often I get to do fun things like, plan book events, create TikToks and lots of lovely bookish things!

What are some book recommendations that become your favourites?

Anything by Taylor Jenkins Reid. I ignored the recommendations from the internet for such a long time and I was so silly to do so. Her books are stunning, captivating and always blow me away. I wish I had listened to the never-ending recommendations sooner because they were right. Also, anything by Sally Rooney. Her books seem to comfort me and I can’t explain why. She may not be for everyone but I love her.

What is the book you shove down everyone’s throat?

For years this has been The Loneliest Girl in the Universe by Lauren James and it still is. I love this book and I will forever be shoving it down people’s throats. So, if you haven’t read it yet, what are you doing!

There you have it, the meet the book blogger tag! If you do this tag be sure to tag me so that I can see your answers.
