2023 in Books!

MERRY CHRISTMAS! I hope you are all having a lovely festive day! 2023 has been a year full of many books. I started doing this post every year a while back and I love it. It allows me to look back over the course of the year on what I’ve read and what I’ve been rated books. Here is my 2023 in books (as of 19th December).

Book read furtherest away from home (holiday reads)?

I’m going to go with The True Love Experiment by Christina Lauren which I read whilst on my honeymoon in Lanzarote. I enjoyed it a lot and it was my favourite holiday read. If you have’t read it yet, I cannot recommend it enough.

Book that you personally connected with the most?

I think I’ll say The Anthropocene Reviewed by John Green. I loved all the reviews of real-life things in this book and the opinions that John Green shares. I related to a lot of his thoughts and enjoyed the overall book a lot.

Book you read way before it’s publication date?

That would have to be My Love Life and the Apocalypse by Melissa Welliver. I read this a couple of months before it released and loved it. I had the joy of then attneding the release party and meeting Melissa which was so much fun!

Book with a character who shares your name?

I’ve not read any books this year with a character who share my name sadly. It is so rare for my name to be in a book that after many years it has only ever happened once.

Book you wish you could go back and read for the first time again?

I think The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid. It is my favourite book of all time but I would love to read it for the first time again and feel all the emotions for the first time.
