June started by getting on a plane to my favourite place in the world, Lanzarote. Just under five hours later we were eating snacks by the pool. We spent a little over two weeks in Lanzarote enjoying the sun, relaxing and visiting some sights.
Whilst there we went to some of the sights which we have visited on our previous holidays there but we also visited a few new places. We visited the two museums on the island which are all about the local artist César Manrique. They were incredible interesting and unique places. We visited Lanzarote’s old capital Teguise which was beautiful.
We also celebrated our one year anniversary whilst on holiday which was delightful. We had a lovely chilled day and had a delicious Chinese meal for tea. We cannot wait to go back to Lanzarote next year.
We were both sad to come home but after a very busy week at work were lucky enough to be going on a little staycation to end the month. The venue where we had our wedding invited us back for an anniversary stay which was lovely. We went on a walk nearby, had a meal in the restaurant and then spent the night in the hotel. It was lovely.
June has been my favourite month of the year so far without a doubt! I’m looking forward to seeing what July brings!

There you have it, June is almost over. I cannot wait to see what July holds. What has June been like for you and what have you read? Let me know in the comments below!
