My Most Anticipated Releases for the Rest of 2024

There have already been so many incredible books released this year but there are still so many exciting releases to come. I’ve been looking at my list of 2024 releases and there are some that are going to jump to the top of my TBR as soon as they are out. So, I thought I’d share my most anticipated releases for the rest of 2024. Here they are.

When Delilah meets Sawyer Saffitz (son of Anya Saffitz, aka Hollywood royalty), she becomes hooked on a decade-old scandal. In her quest for the truth, Delilah uncovers blogposts written by the mysterious “gottiewrites” and is soon caught up in a world of greed, fandom conspiracy theories … and murder. And the deeper Delilah digs, the more dangerous it becomes – because someone is willing to kill to hide the truth.

This has got to be one of my most anticipated releases of the entire year. I’ve been waiting for this book ever since I read the online story An Unauthorised Fan Treatise years ago. I’m looking forward to seeing how this join the two together. I feel like it is going to be full of twists and turns and I cannot wait to give it a read.

When procrastination lands him in a difficult class with his least favorite professor, Henry Turner knows he’s going to have to work extra hard to survive his junior year of college. And now with his new role as ice hockey captain – which he didn’t even want – Henry absolutely cannot fail. Enter Halle Jacobs, a fellow junior who finds herself befriended by Henry when he accidentally crashes her book club.

Halle may not have the romantic pursuits of her favorite fictional leads, but she’s an academic superstar, and when she hears about Henry’s problems with his class reading material, she offers to help. But being a private tutor isn’t exactly ideal given her own studies, job and the novel she’s trying to write. New experiences are the key to beating her writer’s block, though, and Henry’s promising to be the one to give them to her.

They just need to stick to their rulebook. Oh, and not fall in love.

Again this is another book that has been on my anticipated releases list since the start of the year. I’ve been excited for a book all about Henry ever since I read Icebreaker. I’ve heard so many incredible things about this one already and I cannot wait to finally have my hands on a copy of it. You bet I will be reading it the minute I can.

For a few beautiful months, Wes had his dream girl: strong-willed girl-next-door Liz. But right as the two were about to set off to UCLA to start their freshman year together, tragedy struck. Wes was left dealing with the fallout, which ultimately meant losing Liz in the process.

Flash forward months and months later and Wes and Liz find themselves in college, together. In a healthier place now, Wes knows he broke Liz’s heart when he ended things, but he is determined to make her fall back in love with him.

Wes knows Liz better than anyone, and he has a foolproof plan to win her back with the rom-com worthy big gestures she loves. Only…Liz will have none of it. Wes has to scheme like a rom-com hero to figure out how to see her. Even worse, Liz has a new friend…a guy friend.

Still, Wes won’t give up, adapting his clever plans and going hard to get Liz’s attention and win back her affection. But after his best efforts get him nowhere, Wes is left wondering if their relationship is really over for good.

This is one of my most anticipated sequels of the year. After reading Better than the Movies back in 2021, I’ve been keeping my eyes peeled for a sequel as I loved it so much. You can imagine my excitement when I found out there was going to be one. I’m sure this is going to be amazing and will be the perfect book to cosy up with as it starts to get colder.

Aside from the fact that they are brothers, Peter and Ivan Koubek seem to have little in common.

Peter is a Dublin lawyer in his thirties – successful, competent and apparently unassailable. But in the wake of their father’s death, he’s medicating himself to sleep and struggling to manage his relationships with two very different women – his enduring first love Sylvia, and Naomi, a college student for whom life is one long joke.

Ivan is a twenty-two-year-old competitive chess player. He has always seen himself as socially awkward, a loner, the antithesis of his glib elder brother. Now, in the early weeks of his bereavement, Ivan meets Margaret, an older woman emerging from her own turbulent past, and their lives become rapidly and intensely intertwined.

For two grieving brothers and the people they love, this is a new interlude – a period of desire, despair and possibility – a chance to find out how much one life might hold inside itself without breaking.

I’m always going to be excited for a new novel by Sally Rooney and this one in particular sounds so interesting. I’m intrigued as to how this one is going to play out but from the synopsis it sounds like it is going to be a devastating read. I’ve pre-ordered this one and will certainly be reading it as soon as my copy arrives because I’m sure it will be incredible.

There is nothing frivolous about the way a Hawthorne man loves.

An amnesiac playboy and the woman with every reason to hate him. A daredevil, his favorite heiress, and three nights in Prague. An unlikely pairing between a cowboy and a goth. Four brothers with an inescapable bond, strengthened by the family they chose, in a house of wonders that promises to always deliver one more secret.

A collection of short stories that give us a deeper look into the lives in the Inheritance Games series, yes please. The Inheritance Games is one of the favourite series from the last few years so I’m looking forward to reading a selection of short stories about the characters. I’m sure it will answer some questions but will leave me with even more and I can’t wait.

There you have it my most anticipated releases for the rest of the year. What are you looking forward to getting your hands on for the rest of 2024? Let me know in the comments below!
