My name is Ellie. Ellie Pillai . . . And I suppose I am a little bit weird, but then, aren't we all, just a little bit? Most days, Ellie Pillai is somewhere between invisible, and not very cool - and usually she's okay with that. But suddenly, Ellie feels different. Maybe it's the new boy at school who makes her brain explode into rainbows every time she sees him (and also happens to be going out with her best friend), or maybe it's her new drama teacher, the one who seems to have noticed she exists.

June Book Haul!
Happy July everyone! It is time for another book haul! This haul consists of 8 books which is a more than I thought it would be. It has books gifted from publishers, pre-orders and a present for myself too. Here is my June book haul!
Currently I’m…
I am back with another 'currently I'm...' post. A while ago, I started doing these posts all because of how noisy I am. I love knowing what other people are currently reading, watching and listening to. Here are my currents for this month!
Book Lovers by Emily Henry – Quote
One of the books I saved to take on holiday with me was Book Lovers by Emily Henry. By the time this post goes live, I should have read the book and I imagine I'll have loved it. Before I read this book, I saw a few quotes from it and this one in particular is so beautiful. So, I wanted to do what I normally do with a book that I enjoy, which is pick a quote from it and get designing.
Conversations with Friends – TV Show Review
Like a large amount of people, when Normal People got adapted for TV I made it my life. I watched it over and over and read the book multiple times too. So, when I found out that Conversations with Friends was also getting a TV adaptation I was incredibly excited. I made sure I had read the book before watching the TV show so that I could compare them both. It is safe to say, I loved them both. Each for slightly different reasons but I loved it.
Gay Club! – Simon James Green
Barney's a shoo-in for his school's LGBTQ+ Society President at the club's next election. But when the vote is opened up to the entire student body, the whole school starts paying attention. How low will the candidates go to win? Buckle up for some serious shade, scandals and sleazy shenanigans. It isn't long before it's National Coming Out Day - for everyone's secrets! But when the group faces an unexpected threat - and a big opportunity - can the club members put politics aside and stand united?
Holiday TBR! – Part 1
In just over a week I will be in Lanzarote, soaking up the sunshine and reading lots of books. I cannot wait to go back on holiday. It has been 3 years since I last went to Lanzarote and the excitement is unreal. We are there for 2 weeks, so I will be taking more books than last time! I wanted to share what my TBR is for the holiday. I'll be splitting it into two parts because there are quite a few books on my TBR this time.
Ready or Not – Tracy Darnton
Shared family holidays at Creek House have been the backdrop to Millie’s summers since forever. Hanging out with the other kids – Matt, Charlie, Jem and her best friend Kat – has made it her favourite time of the year. But this holiday things are different – the childhood games that once filled their days have lost their appeal to everyone except Millie. It’s not until the final night that the others agree to a game of hide and seek. But in the time it takes Millie to count to twenty, Kat vanishes.

What’s On My Netgalley TBR?
I have just spent the last half-an-hour requesting new books to review over on Netgalley, so it felt like perfect time to write this post. My Netgalley TBR is always full of new and exciting books because of how much time I spend on there. I love talking about all the books I am anticipating because it makes me even more excited to read them. There have been so many amazing books on my Netgalley shelf over the years and it is a place that I've found so many new authors and books. Here are some of the books that are currently on my Netgalley shelf / TBR!
