We are nearly in the lovely Summer months which means (hopefully) lots of sunshine and time spent outdoors. I wanted to share some of the books that I thought are perfect to read throughout summer. I think these books are perfect to read outside in the sunshine, in a park or by the poolside.
Chloe Green is so close to winning. After her moms moved her from SoCal to Alabama for high school, she’s spent the past four years dodging gossipy, classmates and a puritanical administration at Willowgrove Christian Academy. The thing that’s kept her going: winning valedictorian. Her only rival: prom queen Shara Wheeler, the principal’s perfect daughter. But a month before graduation, Shara kisses Chloe and vanishes.
Dylan and Flo are on the rocks. Of course they are in love. Obviously they want it to work. But sometimes it feels like the world is against them. Their flat is falling apart, their friends never stop meddling and the obstacles keeping them from their dreams are insurmountable. Maybe they just . . . aren't meant to be? The break-up completely shatters them both. While Flo cries in her Mum's kitchen, penning ballads about heartache, Dylan is forced to sleep on his best friend's sofa and channel his pain into acting.
I am here again with another 'currently I'm...' post. I started doing these posts quite a while ago, all because of how nosy I am. I love knowing what other people are currently reading, watching and listening to. Here is this month’s currently I’m…
Tara is from Derry, Faith is from Armagh; their lives are very different, but they look exactly the same - they just don't know why... Two teens from very different backgrounds - Tara, the Catholic daughter of a two generation single parent family, and Faith, the daughter of strict Evangelical Protestants from Armagh, come face to face at a residential and discover they look almost identical.
April is almost over and I feel like this month has completely flown by. I've been on a couple of days out, saw a show and a whole lot more. Here is what happened in April!
Three women. Three dates. One missing man... 8.52. Siobhan's been looking forward to her breakfast date with Joseph. She was surprised when he suggested it - she normally sees him late at night in her hotel room. Breakfast with Joseph on Valentine's Day surely means something ... so where is he? 14.43. Miranda's hoping that a Valentine's Day lunch with Carter will be the perfect way to celebrate her new job. It's a fresh start and a sign that her grown-up life is finally falling into place: she's been dating Carter for five months now and things are getting serious. But why hasn't he shown up? 18.30. Joseph Carter agreed to be Jane's fake boyfriend at a colleague's engagement party. They've not known each other long but their friendship is fast becoming the brightest part of her new life in Winchester. Joseph promised to save Jane tonight. But he's not here... Meet Joseph Carter. That is, if you can find him.
I am back again with another 'currently I'm...' post. I began doing these posts a while ago all because of how nosy I am when it comes to knowing what other people are currently reading, watching and listening to. So, to help my own intrigue, started these posts. Here is this month's currently I'm...
I read The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid back in 2021 and I still think about it every single day. That book completely blew me away and made me feel so many things. There are so many amazing quotes throughout the book. So, I wanted to do what I normally do with a book that I enjoy, which is pick a quote from it and get designing.
I feel like I've not done a book tag in absolutely ages. So, now that we are officially into Spring, I thought it would be a lot of fun to do the Spring book tag. I saw this tag over on Steph's blog, so be sure to check out her post. Here is the Spring book tag!
