Number of.png

I adore the musical Hamilton so when I was looking for a tag to do for today’s Blogtober post and stumbled across this one I knew I had to do it.Hamilton is an excellent musical and I listen to it all the time so, I thought linking it to books would be excellent. Here is the Hamilton book tag!

room-where-it-happens

This is so hard because I am going to instantly discount Harry Potter because we all know I want to live in that world. I think I would have to say the Illuminae Files. I don’t know why because this is a dystopian book but something about this book and the world it creates draws me in.

I don’t think that Luna Lovegood from the Harry Potter series gets as much recognition as she should. I have loved Luna’s character ever since I first read the series and she was always the character that stood out for me. I just think she is excellent and I relate to her but she doesn’t get the recognition she deserves.

my-shot

Rosie from Rosie Loves Jack goes after Jack and doesn’t let anything stop her. Rosie is such an inspirational character and made a big impact on my life.  She doesn’t let any challenges stop her on her mission to find Jack. If you haven’t read Rosie Loves Jack by Mel Darbon I really recommend picking it up.

youll-be-back

As soon as I saw this topic I instantly thought about Lemony Snicket from A Series of Unfortunate Events. He is such an excellent villain and is so excellently written. As a kid I was absolutely terrified of home and in all honesty I still am. But, he is so sassy and hilarious I had to pick him for this topic.

nonstop

Back in the day, I marathoned the entire Hunger Games series. I remember everyone talking about it in High School, so I went and bought the first book. As soon as I finished the first book I bought book two and three and marathoned the series. The ending let me down but I still love this series.

satisfied1

I Was Born for This by Alice Oseman is easily my favourite book with multiple POVs. It is such an excellent book and I love both characters the POVs are from. It is such a magnificent book that I couldn’t put down!

who-lives

Harry Potter! I don’t think much needs to be said on this but this series won’t be going away any time soon.

helpless

Katniss and Peeta. I wanted them to end up together right from the beginning of reading the series. I would not change my view either no matter what and still stand by it!

duel

Any of the fight scenes from Children of Blood and Bone have to be my favourite fight scenes. They are so excellently written because I felt like I was sat right in the middle of all of them. This book just drew me right in and I didn’t want to leave the world.

say-no

The BFG! I love this book and even though I don’t feel guilty when reading it I enjoy reading it. I wouldn’t mind admitting to reading this either, it is just an excellent book I loved from my childhood.

what-comes

I wish I had more books in the Children of Blood and Bones series to read right now! I know there are more books coming in the future but I want to be able to read them now. I would love to be able to time travel to read more of this series.

right-hand-man

The Ark in I Was Born for This! I love their friendship as a whole band. They fight and fallout but they all love one another and I loved reading about their friendship throughout the book.

miss

Harry Potter. I know I have mentioned this series way too many times in this tag but I was really late when it comes to reading this series. I didn’t read this series until the last movie adaptation was released. I hadn’t had any interest into the series until this point, so I was quite late to the Harry Potter party.

Questions Ahead May Contain Spoilers!

stay-alive

Finnick Odair! I can’t get over his death still. It was just breezed over in the book and not much was said about it later in the book. I wish he was still alive because he was such an excellent character who added so much to Mockingjay.

burn

When Lara Jean and Peter Kavinsky break up in P.S I Still Love You I was so upset. When I reread it last month I actually cried that they had spilt up. I am just so invested in their relationship.

reynolds

The twist in Illuminae took me by surprise. I had no idea what to expect from that book but it was not that.

There you have it, the Hamilton book tag! That was a lot of fun to do. I am not going to tag anyone in this but if you do want to take part please link me to your post in the comments because I would love to reads them.

  1. Luna is my favorite Harry Potter character too!! I haven’t gotten around to reading Children of Blood and Bone yet but I’ve heard nothing but amazing things and I can’t wait to get to reading it eventually. Awesome post and great book suggestions, Lois!!
