I am back again with another of my releases I’m excited about posts! March appears to be another month of lots of brand new young adult books! One of my most anticipated books of the year is out in March and I cannot wait to get my hands on it! Here are the March releases I’m excited about!
The Quiet at the End of the World by Lauren James
“Lowrie and Shen are the youngest people on the planet after a virus caused global infertility. Closeted in a pocket of London and doted upon by a small, ageing community, the pair spend their days mudlarking for artefacts from history and looking for treasure in their once-opulent mansion.
Their idyllic life is torn apart when a secret is uncovered that threatens not only their family but humanity’s entire existence. Lowrie and Shen face an impossible choice: in the quiet at the end of the world, they must decide who to save and who to sacrifice . . .”
Anyone who knows me will know how much I talk about Lauren’s books and how much I am recommending them to other readers. So, it isn’t a shock to many people when I say that this is my most anticipated release of 2019! I recently read the first chapter of this book and I was invested immediately. I cannot wait to pick this book up!

A Girl Called Shameless by Laura Steven
“It’s been two months since a leaked explicit photo got Izzy involved in a political sex scandal – and the aftershock is far from over. The Bitches Bite Back movement is gathering momentum as a forum for teenage feminists, and when a girl at another school has a sex tape shared online, once again Izzy leads the charge against the slut-shamer. This time she wants to change the state law on revenge porn.”
I read the first book in this series last year and it was excellent. It made me laugh out loud multiple times. So, when I heard that Laura was back with book 2 about Izzy I couldn’t wait to read it. Laura is tackling so many important topics in her books and I can’t wait to see what she tackles this time around.

The Truth about Keeping Secrets by Savannah Brown
“Sydney’s dad is the only psychiatrist for miles around their small Ohio town. He is also unexpectedly dead. Is Sydney crazy, or is it kind of weird that her dad-a guy whose entire job revolved around other peoples’ secrets-crashed alone, with no explanation? And why is June Copeland, homecoming queen and the town’s golden child, at his funeral? As the two girls grow closer in the wake of the accident, it’s clear that not everyone is happy about their new friendship. But what is picture perfect June still hiding? And does Sydney even want to know?”
This is another book I have been excited about being released for a long time. I have followed Savannah for a number of years now and have always liked the things she has produced. I love that she is releasing a YA novel and I cannot wait to get my hands on it and see what it is like!

Once & Future by Amy Rose Capetta and Cori McCarthy
“When Ari crash-lands on Old Earth and pulls a magic sword from its ancient resting place, she is revealed to be the newest reincarnation of King Arthur. Then she meets Merlin, who has aged backward over the centuries into a teenager, and together they must break the curse that keeps Arthur coming back. Their quest? Defeat the cruel, oppressive government and bring peace and equality to all humankind.”
This is the sort of book I am not usually excited about but for some reason this one captured my attention. I think due to the fact that King Arthur and Merlin are mention in the synopsis. I want to get my hands of this book and give it a read. I am trying to step out of my comfort zone with my genres and I feel this is the perfect book for it!

I NEED A Girl Called Shameless and The Quiet at the End of the World, I love both Lauren and Laura’s books. I was lucky enough to meet them both at YALC last year too and they are lovely! 🙂

Spacey books aren’t really my thing, but the cover for The Quiet At The End Of The world is gorgeous though!
