July Releases I’m Excited About!

New Book Releases!

Today, I am back once again with another of my new releases I’m excited about posts! July is another month packed full of lots of brand new Young Adult books. I am so excited about all of these releases and cannot wait to get my hands on them! Here are the July releases I am excited about!

LineRose, Interrupted by Patrice Lawrence

43901466“Eighteen months ago, 17-year-old Rose and 13-year-old Rudder escaped a strict religious sect with their mum. They are still trying to make sense of the world outside – no more rules about clothes and books, films and music, no more technology bans. But also no more friendship with the people they’ve known all their lives, no community and no certainty. It doesn’t help that their mum has to work all hours to pay rent on their cramped, smelly, one-bed flat above a kebab shop in Hackney.”

I have spoken about this a lot on my blog and Twitter in the past month and that’s because I am so excited for this book. I am writing this post before I go on holiday, a holiday on which I will have taken this book. So, I will be talking about my thoughts on it very soon but for not I am so excited to read it!

The Starlight Watchmaker by Lauren James

44097002“Wealthy students from across the galaxy come to learn at the prestigious academy where Hugo toils as a watchmaker. But he is one of the lucky ones. Many androids like him are jobless and homeless. Someone like Dorian could never understand their struggle – or so Hugo thinks when the pompous duke comes banging at his door. But when Dorian’s broken time-travel watch leads them to discover a sinister scheme, the pair must reconcile their differences if they are to find the culprit in time.”

Of course Lauren Jame’s new book had to be on my new releases post! Any new release from Lauren James is one I am going to be excited about. I’m even more excited that this is a novella sized book that I will be able to read extremely quickly! I cannot wait for this book to be released!

Heartstopper: Volume Two by Alice Oseman

43307358.jpg“Nick and Charlie are best friends. Nick knows Charlie’s gay, and Charlie is sure that Nick isn’t.

But love works in surprising ways, and Nick is discovering all kinds of things about his friends, his family … and himself.

Heartstopper is about friendship, loyalty and mental illness. It encompasses all the small stories of Nick and Charlie’s lives that together make up something larger, which speaks to all of us.”

This is another that I am beyond excited about and have been for a long time. I love the Heartstopper comic that Alice Oseman writes and draws and read it online every week. So, having the comic physically makes me extremely happy. Although I have already read the chapters in this book (and loved them), I am still extremely excited to own this book!

Take a Chance on Me by Beth Garrod

44591574.jpg“Meg had a disastrous first kiss she would rather forget, but this is the summer she puts it behind her. This is the summer she has a perfect, swoony, just-like-in-the-movies kiss with a hot boy – and what better setting than the sun-drenched Greek island she’s holidaying on? But with three very different boys vying for her attention, this mission to reset her first kiss may be more complicated than she bargained for… “

I absolutely adore Beth Garrod’s books because they always make me smile and laugh out loud. As soon as this book was announced I was excited to read it! I’m really ready to read a good summer book whilst it is actually summer! Beth’s books are always spectacular and I can’t wait for this one.

  1. Oh my gosh! The covers of Rose, Interrupted and The Starlight Watchmaker are so beautiful! Those would be amazing additions to my shelf, purely on an aesthetic level. It doesn’t hurt that the books sound interesting as well!
