March Book Haul!

Book HaulHello all, I am back again with yet another book haul. This month I think I did quite well when it comes to budgeting myself in my book buying. I do think this was helped by a lockdown happening but my bank account isn’t complaining. I did go to London though at the beginning of the month and I did pick up a few books whilst there. Also I was gifted a book, I will highlight in brackets next to any books if they were gifted. So, here is my March book haul.Line2020-03-29 08.36.55 1.jpg

Towards the beginning of March I took a trip to London with Sarah and Sophie! Whilst there I bought a total of 4 books. Before travelling down to London I did set a limit of two books on the trip for myself but it went out the window when I went into Gay’s the Word and the Forbidden Planet.

I started out by buying As Many Nows As I Can Get by Shana Youngdahl in Foyles. I cannot wait to read this one and bonus it has a stunning cover. Next up we went into Gay’s the Word where my book buying limit was broken. Immediately I picked up 10 Things I Can See from Here by Carrie Mac which I have wanted to read for quite a while and has yet another stunning cover! Then I saw Drum Roll, Please by Lisa Jenn Bigelow, read the synopsis and immediately went to buy it. Our final bookshop whilst in London was Forbidden Planet where I spied a copy of Challenger Deep by Neil Shusterman which was signed. This is one I went and bought without thought after hearing Charlotte from Wonderfully Bookish talk about how much she loves this book. Four books later our trip to London was over!

Towards the end of the month I received some very exciting book post! It was First Day of my Life by Lisa Williamson (gifted)! I love Lisa Willliamson’s books so I cannot wait to read this one!

Overall, I ended the month with 5 books more than I started which is a lot less than I expected and I am actually quite proud. Let’s hope I actually stick to my book buying ban in April. I cannot wait to read all these books and share my thoughts!
