Hello all, I hope you are all doing well. I’m back again with another post packed full of new books that are being released very soon! I love finding out about new books to read and getting excited about all the new books on the way. There are so many incredible books coming out in September and I cannot wait to read them all! Here are the September 2020 releases I am excited about!

The Summer of Everything by Julian Winters

“Comic book geek Wesley Hudson excels at two things: slacking off at his job and pining after his best friend, Nico. Advice from his friends, ‘90s alt-rock songs, and online dating articles aren’t helping much with his secret crush. And his dream job at Once Upon a Page, the local used bookstore, is threatened when a coffeeshop franchise wants to buy the property. To top it off, his annoying brother needs wedding planning advice. When all three problems converge, Wes comes face-to-face with the one thing he’s been avoiding—adulthood.”
I love a good book all about summer. This book looks like it is just that! I have heard so many good things in the past about Julian Winters books and I’m excited to see what people think of this one. I will definitely be picking up a copy of this once it is released!

Breathless by Jennifer Niven

“Before: With graduation on the horizon, budding writer Claudine Henry is making plans: college in the fall, become a famous author, and maybe–finally–have sex. She doesn’t even need to be in love. Then her dad drops a bombshell: he’s leaving Claude’s mother. Suddenly, Claude’s entire world feels like a lie, and her future anything but under control.
After: Claude’s mom whisks them away to the last place Claude could imagine nursing a broken heart: a remote, mosquito-infested island off the coast of Georgia. But then Jeremiah Crew happens. Miah is a local trail guide with a passion for photography–and a past he doesn’t like to talk about. He’s brash and enigmatic, and even more infuriatingly, he’s the only one who seems to see Claude for who she wants to be. So when Claude decides to sleep with Miah, she tells herself it’s just sex, nothing more. There’s not enough time to fall in love, especially if it means putting her already broken heart at risk.”
I have loved Jennifer Niven’s books since I was a teenager and have been wanting a new book written by her in my life for a long time. So, now that there is finally a new Jennifer Niven book on the way you can imagine my excitement! I cannot wait to give this one a read and see what I think!

The Reckless Afterlife of Harriet Stoker by Lauren James

“What if death is only the beginning?
When Harriet Stoker dies after falling from a balcony in a long-abandoned building, she discovers a group of ghosts, each with a special power.
Felix, Kasper, Rima and Leah welcome Harriet into their world, eager to make friends with the new arrival after decades alone. Yet Harriet is more interested in unleashing her own power, even if it means destroying everyone around her. But when all of eternity is at stake, the afterlife can be a dangerous place to make an enemy.”
If it wasn’t already clear from how much I talk about Lauren James, I absolutely adore Lauren James and her books. I cannot wait for the world to meet Harriet and her gang of misfits. You are in for a treat with this book and I cannot wait to hold it in my hands. I was lucky enough to read this a while back and have posted a full review for it which you can find here.

Watch Over Me by Nina LaCour

“Mila is used to being alone. Maybe that’s why she said yes to the opportunity: living in this remote place, among the flowers and the fog and the crash of waves far below.
But she hadn’t known about the ghosts.
Newly graduated from high school, Mila has aged out of the foster care system. So when she’s offered a job and a place to stay at a farm on an isolated part of the Northern California Coast, she immediately accepts. Maybe she will finally find a new home, a real home. The farm is a refuge, but also haunted by the past traumas its young residents have come to escape. And Mila’s own terrible memories are starting to rise to the surface.”
I’ve always seen people being beyond hyped for any book by Nina LaCour and I didn’t really understand it until I read two of her books back-to-back. I completely understand the hype which she deserves completely. So, with her new novel on the way I cannot wait to give it a read and see what I think!
