I am back again with yet another large book haul! May seems to have been the month of endless pre-orders for me. My May book haul for 2021 consists of 14 books in total, which is way more than I thought I would end up with!
This haul consists of a few pre-orders, some presents for myself and some that I have been gifted in exchange for an honest review. Here is my May book haul!

May began with a couple of gifts from lovely publishers! Those books were XOXO by Axie Oh which I cannot wait to read as it sounds right up my street. Also, Love & Other Natural Disasters by Misa Suguira which I am beyond excited to read! I have loved all other books I’ve read by Misa Suguira so I am excited for a new book by them.
Next up as a treat for starting my new job, David bought me a couple of books. Those were Tender is the Flesh by Agustina Bazterrica which has been on my radar for a long time now and I am looking forward to read. Also, Penguins and Other Sea Birds by Matt Sewell which David bought me at random because I am obsessed with penguins. It is full of beautiful and adorable little illustrations and I love it a lot.
Then I took a couple of trips to some bookstore and of course I left with some books! On my first trip I picked up The Yearbook by Holly Bourne which I know will be incredible because it is Holly Bourne. Also, Me, My Dad and the End of the Rainbow by Benjamin Dean which I have been hearing amazing things about for so long that I had to give it a go. On my second trip I picked up, Excuse Me While I Ugly Cry by Joya Goffney which was an excellent read and I would highly recommend. Also, The Outrage by William Hussey which is meant to be spectacular and I have high hopes for because the author writes amazing books.
I was surprised again this month by Penguin who gifted me a copy of Instructions for Dancing by Nicola Yoon which I loved with all my heart. It is the first book that has made me cry in a long time and I’ll be posting a review of very soon.
I ended May with a load of pre-orders arriving in at my door. They were Felix Ever After by Kacen Callender which has been getting amazing reviews for months now. Then, Counting Down with You by Tashie Bhuyan which I read immediately and adored. I will be getting more books by Tashie in the future. Finally, Off the Record by Camryn Garrett which I am really intrigued by and had to get after loving her previous novel. Also, Hani and Ishu’s Guide to Fake Dating by Adiba Jaigirdar which I am over halfway through and loving. Look out for a review for that one soon.
Overall, I ended the month with 14 more physical books than I started it out with. I’ve read 4 of them and I am in the middle of 2 others. So, not my best progress through the books but I will get there. Once again I have some pre-orders arriving in June and I cannot wait for them!

What books did you buy in May and what books are you excited for in June? Let me know in the comments!

Those sprayed edges are GORGEOUS!!!
