It is time for another post all about new books that are on the horizon. There are a lot of books coming out in July and I’m excited about a lot of them. I wanted to share some of the ones that I am most excited for. Here at the new book releases I’m excited for in July!

Boys I Know by Anna Garcia

June Chu is the “just good enough” girl. Good enough to line the shelves with a slew of third-place trophies and steal secret kisses from her AP Bio partner, Rhys. But not good enough to meet literally any of her Taiwanese mother’s unrelenting expectations or to get Rhys to commit to anything beyond a well-timed joke.
While June’s mother insists she follow in her (perfect) sister’s footsteps and get a (full-ride) violin scholarship to Northwestern (to study pre-med), June doesn’t see the point in trying too hard if she’s destined to fall short anyway. Instead, she focuses her efforts on making her relationship with Rhys “official.” But after her methodically-planned, tipsily-executed scheme explodes on the level of a nuclear disaster, she flings herself into a new relationship with a guy who’s not allergic to the word “girlfriend.”
I can’t lie, the cover of this one is what drew me in first. It is simple and stunning and it drew me into finding out more about the book. After reading the synopsis, this book is right up my street and I’m sure it is fo so many other people too. I feel like this one will be the perfect book to read over the summer and I cannot wait.

Heartbreak Houseshare by Emily Merrill

Fresh out of university in Manchester and struggling to climb the career ladder in London, Flick’s devastated when her boyfriend dumps her with no warning and leaves her looking for a new place to live.
Being forced into a houseshare with three complete strangers isn’t exactly how Flick saw things going. But the residents of Carlisle Avenue are quickly on hand to help her navigate the ups and downs of the life she’s currently winging.
With their help, along with her big sister, Flick manages to focus her energy on ticking off items that she’s added to her ‘twenties list’ – the perfect bucket list for any twenty-something reclaiming their life post-break up.
I love books that are set in places that I know. This book has setting of Manchester and London, both of which I’m familiar with. It also sounds like it will be a lot of fun to read too. I am looking forwards to read this one very soon and sharing my thoughts with you all.

The Society for Soulless Girls by Laura Steven

Ten years ago, four students lost their lives in the infamous North Tower murders at the elite Carvell College of Arts, forcing Carvell to close its doors.
Now Carvell is reopening, and fearless student Lottie is determined to find out what really happened. But when her roommate, Alice, stumbles upon a sinister soul-splitting ritual hidden in Carvell’s haunted library, the North Tower claims another victim.
Can Lottie uncover the truth before the North Tower strikes again? Can Alice reverse the ritual before her monstrous alter ego consumes her? And can they stop flirting for literally fifteen seconds in order to do this?
This one sounds so interesting! I’ve read previous books by Laura Steven which are much more contemporary, light and funny novels. This one looks like it is going to be completely different and one that will keep you on the edge of your seat. So, I am looking forward to giving it a read and seeing how if differs from her other books.

The King is Dead by Benjamin Dean

James has been a prince all of his life, and since he was born, he’s been thrust into the spotlight as the first Black heir to the throne. But when his father unexpectedly dies, James is crowned king at seventeen. Now, the secrets he could keep as a prince with no real responsibility – namely, his sexuality and hidden relationship – are rocked as his life irrevocably changes.
When his boyfriend suddenly goes missing, the royal secrets and scandals that only he knows start to leak online. And when it becomes clear that whoever is behind the messages isn’t going to stop anytime soon, James begins to question everyone around him.
I’ve been seeing so many amazing things about this one already. It sounds like an absolutely incredible read. It has been marketed for fans of Simon Vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda and The Inheritance games. I am one of those people and a book that is a cross between those books sounds like it will be extraordinary.

Meet Me in the Middle by Alex Light

Eden had her best friend Katie—she didn’t need anyone else. But then there was Truman.
Katie’s older brother, the artist. The recluse. The boy with the innocent smile and the dangerous eyes.
Eden had never really known Truman—not until the night of Katie’s accident. That was the night they’d finally let each other into their orbits—only to have the sky come crashing down on them.
With Katie in the hospital and Truman fleeing from his grief without a word, Eden is left alone to grapple with her own pain. But when Truman returns to the city, can Eden let him back into her life knowing that their first kiss is what tore their world apart?
I have been lucky enough to receive an ARC of this one and I cannot wait to read it. I read The Upside of Falling by Alex Light a little while back and loved it. So, I cannot wait to read this one, see how her writing has changed and find out more about this romance book!

Will their fresh start rip at the seams as Suwa seeks out a solo spotlight, and both boys come to terms with what it’ll take, and what they’ll have to let go, to realize their dreams?
I cannot wait to give this one a read. It sounds like it is going to be a heart-breaking and heart-warming novel that is right up my street. I have seen so many amazing reviews for this one already which is making me even more excited to give it a read. I will be picking this one up very soon!
