When this post goes live, I will be on holiday, on my Honeymoon, soaking up the sunshine and reading lots of books. I cannot wait to be back on holiday. I’ve got a lot of books packed in my suitcase for all my planned reading. I wanted to share what my TBR is for the holiday. I’ll be splitting it into two parts because there are quite a few books on my TBR this time. Here is part one of my holiday TBR for Lanzarote!

The Happy Ever After Playlist by Abby Jimenez
Two years after losing her fiancé, Sloan Monroe still can’t seem to get her life back on track. But one trouble-making pup with a “take me home” look in his eyes is about to change everything. With her new pet by her side, Sloan finally starts to feel more like herself. Then, after weeks of unanswered texts, Tucker’s owner reaches out. He’s a musician on tour in Australia. And bottom line: He wants Tucker back.
Well, Sloan’s not about to give up her dog without a fight. As their flirty texts turn into long calls, Sloan can’t deny a connection. There’s no telling what could happen when they meet in person. The question is: With his music career on the rise, how long will Jason really stick around? And is it possible for Sloan to survive another heartbreak?

After reading two books by Abby Jimenez earlier on this year I had to add another of her books to my holiday TBR. With a musician main character, I’m sure this one is going to be right up my street. I’ve seen a lot of excellent things about this one online and I think it will be perfect to read in the sunshine.
My Grandmother Sends Her Regards and Apologies by Fredrik Backman
Elsa is seven years old and different. Her grandmother is seventy-seven years old and crazy—as in standing-on-the-balcony-firing-paintball-guns-at-strangers crazy. She is also Elsa’s best, and only, friend. At night Elsa takes refuge in her grandmother’s stories, in the Land-of-Almost-Awake and the Kingdom of Miamas, where everybody is different and nobody needs to be normal.
When Elsa’s grandmother dies and leaves behind a series of letters apologizing to people she has wronged, Elsa’s greatest adventure begins. Her grandmother’s instructions lead her to an apartment building full of drunks, monsters, attack dogs, and old crones but also to the truth about fairy tales and kingdoms and a grandmother like no other.

I bought this one for my Mum for Mother’s Day and as soon as she had finished reading it, she handed it back to me and told me I would love it. So, I thought it would be lovely to give it a read on holiday and I’m looking forward to it.
It’s Not Summer Without You by Jenny Han
When something is perfect, you hope it lasts forever. But Isabel’s lazy, long hot summers at her family friends’ beach house are over.
Conrad is the only boy she’s ever loved. But he’s left for college, taking her heart with him. Jeremiah, his gorgeous younger brother, is still Isabel’s best friend – but maybe friendship isn’t enough for him anymore . . .
Isabel just wants everything to stay the same, because change means moving on. But if she stops looking back, could she find a future she never knew she wanted?

I read the first book in this series whilst on holiday last year and I wanted to save the second in the series for my next holiday. I love Jenny Han’s books and they always remind me of summer. I’m excited to read this one before the second series of the TV show comes out later this year.
Conversations on Love by Natasha Lunn
A celebration of love in all its forms, featuring conversations with: Philippa Perry on falling in love slowly * Candice Carty-Williams on friendship * Alain de Botton on the psychology of being alone * Dolly Alderton on vulnerability * Emily Nagoski on the science of sex * Diana Evans on parenthood * Lisa Taddeo on the loneliness of loss * Esther Perel on unrealistic expectations * Stephen Grosz on accepting change * Roxane Gay on redefining romance * and many more

I always enjoy taking a non-fiction book with me on holiday. It is something different and I use it to break up my fiction book reading. I’ve been meaning to read this one for such a long time now. So, I thought it would be perfect to take on holiday with me.
Love on the Brain by Ali Hazelwood
Bee Königswasser lives by a simple code: What would Marie Curie do? If NASA offered her the lead on a neuroengineering project – a literal dream come true – Marie would accept without hesitation. Duh. But the mother of modern physics never had to co-lead with Levi Ward.
Sure, Levi is attractive in a tall, dark, and piercing-eyes kind of way. But Levi made his feelings toward Bee very clear in grad school – archenemies work best employed in their own galaxies far, far away.
But when her equipment starts to go missing and the staff ignore her, Bee could swear she sees Levi softening into an ally, backing her plays, seconding her ideas… devouring her with those eyes. The possibilities have all her neurons firing.
But when it comes time to actually make a move and put her heart on the line, there’s only one question that matters: What will Bee Königswasser do?

I’ve been meaning to read this one for such a long time now. With another book by Ali Hazelwood coming out very soon, I thought I should get round to reading this one sooner rather than later. I’m not sure what I’m going to think of this one but I’m excited to find out.
Love in the Time of Serial Killers by Alicia Thompson
PhD candidate Phoebe Walsh has always been obsessed with true crime. She’s even analyzing the genre in her dissertation—if she can manage to finish writing it. It’s hard to find the time while she spends the summer in Florida, cleaning out her childhood home, dealing with her obnoxiously good-natured younger brother, and grappling with the complicated feelings of mourning a father she hadn’t had a relationship with for years.
It doesn’t help that she’s low-key convinced that her new neighbor, Sam Dennings, is a serial killer (he may dress business casual by day, but at night he’s clearly up to something). It’s not long before Phoebe realizes that Sam might be something much scarier—a genuinely nice guy who can pierce her armor to reach her vulnerable heart.

This is another that I’ve been meaning to read for such a long time now and I thought my holiday was the perfect time to finally read it. I’ve seen some mixed reviews of this one so I’m not too sure what I’m going to think but I’ll share my thoughts!

There you have it, part one of what is on my TBR for my holiday this year. I’ll be sharing part two very soon, so keep your eye out for that. Are you going on holiday this year and if so, where? Let me know in the comments below!
