What’s On My Netgalley TBR?

I’ve had yet another month of being good and have not requested any more books on Netgalley. I’ve even managed to shrink my TBR a little too. My aim for the end of the year is to have my feedback ratio back at 100% and I’m on my way to that.

I started writing these posts to show what was on my Netgalley TBR and to hold myself accountable when it comes to reading them. So, here are some of the books on my Netgalley TBR / shelf at the moment!

Business or Pleasure by Rachel Lynn Solomon

Chandler Cohen lies for a living.

When she accepts her next ghostwriting gig penning a memoir for cult actor Finnegan Walsh, it should be a dream job.

However, Chandler knows him best as something else: her worst-ever one-night stand . . .

She’s determined to keep things professional. But when she finally admits to Finn that their night together wasn’t as mind-blowing as he thought, he’s mortified, and determined to make amends.

So, they strike a deal. During the day, they’ll work on the book, and at night, she’ll school him in the art of satisfaction.

As they grow closer, the line between business and pleasure starts to blur.

Can Chandler and Finn have both, or will they have to choose?

This is the next book on my Netgalley TBR that I am going to be reading. It sounds absolutely incredible and I’ve been seeing so many amazing things about it recently. Rachel Lynn Solomon’s romance books have never failed me yet and I can’t wait to read this one and see what I think.

Hotel 21 by Senta Rich

Noelle is an efficient and friendly hotel cleaner, a model employee. Or so she’d have you think. The trouble is that she can’t help taking a little ‘souvenir’ as she cleans. Nothing of value, just tokens of happy, normal lives: a lipstick, a hair clip, some tweezers. And by the time the guest has noticed, she’s long gone.

As she starts at her 21st hotel, she’s determined to beat her record of one month in a five star hotel before suspicion falls on her. But when she meets her new colleagues, her plans are complicated. These women aren’t just hands pushing carts down lonely hotel corridors: they are women with lives full of happiness and worry, pain and joy. The kind of lives Noelle has never known how to live. They make her wonder what it might be like to have real friends, people to stick around for…

Will the women at Hotel 21 give her the courage to claim the life she deserves, or will her old habits come back to haunt her?

This one caught my eye when I requested it but I put it on the back burner when I was approved for it. I’m not sure why I did that but I am so excited to pick this up as I think this is going to be one of my summer reads. I’ve not seen much about this one online so I’m looking forward to reading it.

Love in the Time of Serial Killers by Alicia Thompson

Turns out that reading nothing but true crime isn’t exactly conducive to modern dating – and one woman is going to have to learn how to give love a chance when she’s used to suspecting the worst.

PhD candidate Phoebe Walsh has always been obsessed with true crime. She’s even analysing the genre in her dissertation – if she can manage to finish writing it. It’s hard to find the time while she spends the summer in Florida, cleaning out her childhood home, dealing with her obnoxiously good-natured younger brother, and grappling with the complicated feelings of mourning a father she hadn’t had a relationship with for years.

It doesn’t help that she’s low-key convinced that her new neighbour, Sam Dennings, is a serial killer (he may dress business casual by day, but at night he’s clearly up to something). But it’s not long before Phoebe realises that Sam might be something much scarier – a genuinely nice guy who can pierce her armour to reach her vulnerable heart.

Since being approved for this one, I’ve bought a physical copy of it and it is coming with me on holiday. I’m going to be making it one of the first books I read whilst I’m on my holiday and I have a feeling I am going to really enjoy it!

There you have it, some of the books that are on my Netgalley shelf/TBR at the minute! What have you got on your Netgalley shelf and what are you excited to read? Let me know in the comments!

Happy Reading
