July has gone by in the blink of an eye! This month I've been to a concert, the cinema, been to the zoo and some excellent days with friends. Here is what happened in July!
Month: July 2023
What I Read in July!
July has been a decent reading month for me. I've read 7 books throughout July. So, I’m back with another what I’ve read this month post though. In this post, you will find a bunch of mini-reviews for the books I read in July. Here they are!
Business or Pleasure – Rachel Lynn Solomon
Whenever I see an announcement that Rachel Lynn Solomon has another book coming out, it gets added to my TBR list immediately and for good reason. Her books always bring me a lot of joy and her characters are extraordinary, with Business or Pleasure I got all the joy I expected and more!
The Exiled – Sarah Daniels
I love being able to pick up the second book in a duology straight after finishing the first book. So, that is exactly what I did after finishing The Stranded. I wasn’t too sure how this one was going to compare to the first book but I ended up loving this YA dystopian novel just as much, if not more. Be warned, if you have yet to read the first book in the duology, this review CONTAINS SPOILERS.
Currently I’m…
I love seeing what other people are reading, watching and listening to. It is a wonderful way to learn more about other people and get some recommendations at the same time. So, I started doing the ‘Currently I’m…‘ posts to share my current reads, watches and what I’m listening to with other people who are just as curious as I am. Here is what I am currently reading, watching and listening to.
The Stranded – Sarah Daniels
I am always on the lookout for a new and exciting dystopian novel to jump into. So, when I saw The Stranded I was excited to see how this dystopian, set on a once luxurious cruise ship, would play out. It hooked me from the first page and was a wild ride.
What’s On My Netgalley TBR?
It has been another month where I've been good and not requested any more books on Netgalley. I've not managed to shrink my TBR though. My aim for the end of the year is to have my feedback ratio back at 100% and I’m on my way to that.
Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston – Quote
With the release of the film adaptation for Red, White & Royal Blue very soon, I am going to be doing a re-read before its release. In the meantime, I found myself looking at some of my favourite quotes from this book. So, of course I wanted to make a little quote design for one of my favourites.
Books I Have on Pre-Order
I love placing pre-orders of books because it is always a lovely surprise when they arrive. I've got quite a few books on pre-order at the moment and I wanted to share them with you all. So, here are the books I have on pre-order!
