August has gone by very quickly. This month has been a bit of a rollercoaster. I went on days out, a trip to Oxford, days with friends but I also lost my best friend, my dog Maggie. Here is what happened in August.
Month: August 2023
Books I Want to Pre-Order
For some reason I thought that August only had 30 days so I posted my 'What I Read in August' post a little too early. So, I wanted to post something else when I would usually post about my month's reading. Over the weekend, I visited a lot of bookshops and it got me thinking about what books I would like to pre-order. I wanted to share some of those books with you, here are some of the books I want to pre-order.
What I Read in August!
August has been quite a good reading month for me. I've read 9 books throughout August. So, I'm back with another what I've read this month post. In this post, you will find a bunch of mini-reviews for the books I read in August. Here they are!
She is a Haunting – Trang Thanh Tran
I knew I had to read this book the moment I saw it. I had quite high expectations for this one and although it didn’t completely live up to those expectations it was still a haunting and brilliantly written YA gothic horror.
Count to 10 with Me Tag
I'm always on the lookout for a new tag and I spotted the Count to 10 with Me tag on ZeZee with Books. The minute I read through it I knew I had to give it a go and see what my answers would be. So, here is the Count to 10 with Me tag!
Currently I’m…
I am always curious about what other people are reading, watching and listing so. It is always an excellent way to learn more about other people and get some recommendations at the same time. So, I started doing the ‘Currently I’m…‘ posts to share my current reads, watches and what I’m listening to with other people who are just as curious as I am. Here is what I am currently reading, watching and listening to.
We’ll Always Have Summer by Jenny Han – Quote
I adore The Summer I Turned Pretty series and very recently finishing reading the third book in the series, We'll Always Have Summer by Jenny Han. I loved it and it was my favourite of the entire series. Both the TV show and book are full of beautiful quotes. So, I wanted to do what I normally do with a book that I enjoy, which is pick a quote from it and get designing.
What’s On My Netgalley TBR?
I've had another month of being good and not requesting a lot of books on Netgalley. I've even managed to shrink my TBR a little too. My aim for the end of the year is to have my feedback ratio back at 100% and I’m on my way to that.
Faking It – Beth Reekles
I’m always going to be excited about a book that takes the fake-dating trope and twists it into something new and unique. Faking It does just that and I had a lot of fun reading it.
