Thank you so much to the publisher for sending me a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review!

Riley Rhodes finally has the chance to turn her family’s knack for the supernatural into a legitimate business when she’s hired to break the curse on an infamous Scottish castle. Used to working alone in her alienating occupation, she’s pleasantly surprised to meet a handsome stranger upon arrival—until he tries to get her fired.

Fresh off a professional scandal, Clark Edgeware can’t allow a self-proclaimed “curse breaker” to threaten his last chance for redemption. After he fails to get Riley kicked off his survey site, he vows to avoid her. Unfortunately for him, she vows to get even.

Riley expects the curse to do her dirty work by driving Clark away, but instead, they keep finding themselves in close proximity. Too close. Turns out, the only thing they do better than fight is fool around. If they’re not careful, by the end of all this, more than the castle will end up in ruins.

When I saw that Rosie Danan was releasing a mystical romance set in the Scottish Highlands, I couldn’t wait to get my hand on it. This one is perfect to read as the weather gets colder and all we want to do is cosy up.

I feel like enemies-to-lovers stories can often fail to hit the mark. This one does it amazingly! You can feel the hatred between the pair right from the start. The hatred doesn’t end straight away either like a lot of romance books do. It is a slow-burn for them to become lovers and it is so worth the wait.

I loved both our main characters. Riley takes absolutely no prisoners and is determined to prove her curse-breaking skills. Clark is desperate to come out of the shadow of his father’s legacy and just like Riley, takes no nonsense. Their banter and unmistakable chemistry make them the perfect enemies-to-lovers pair.

Rosie Danan’s writing is clever and at times makes for mysterious moments. The way in which she parallels the romance of Riley and Clark and the romantic history of the castle is excellent. I love the supernatural elements that are brought into this story and feel like it added a lot to the story.

My only struggle with this story was it is set in a dual third-person POV which at times made it difficult to read. I would have loved it even more if it was in first-person POV. That way, I feel like we would see the chemistry between the characters a bit more. But, that was only a minor struggle for me.

Overall, Do Your Worst is the perfect mix between curse-breaking and romance and I thoroughly enjoyed it. If you are looking for an enemies-to-lover story this is one to pick up! I’d definitely recommend it.
