We are a few days into December, which means Christmas is almost here. Of course, that means I am planning to get some Christmas themed books read this month. I wanted to share my Christmas season TBR with you all because I am beyond excited to start reading them. Here are the books I’d like to read before Christmas!

A Winter in New York by Josie Silver
Iris arrives in the city of dreams, intent on restarting her culinary career, and leaving her recent heartache behind.
Wandering the streets at a famous food festival, Iris feels like she’s living in a movie. Then she stumbles upon a gelateria that looks strangely familiar. Inside, she meets a perfect leading man with an irresistible smile – and a crisis of his own.
As fate would have it, Iris is the one person with the answer to his problem. She just can’t tell him that . . .
So, can Iris finally let go of the past – and let herself fall in love?

I’ve been seeing this one absolutely everywhere online which makes me even more excited to read it. I love books with chef main characters for some reason so I am even more intrigued to read this one. I think it will be the perfect light-hearted Christmas romance and I’m looking forward to reading it.
A Holly Jolly Ever After by Julie Murphy and Sierra Simone
Kallum Liebermanis the funny one™. As the arguably lesser of the three former members of the boy band INK, he enjoyed his fifteen minutes of fame and then moved home where he opened a regional pizza chain called Slice, Slice, Baby! He’s living his best dad bod life, hooking up with bridesmaids at all his friends’ weddings. But after an old one-off sex tape is leaked and quickly goes viral, Kallum decides he’s ready to step into the spotlight again, starring in a sexy Santa biopic for the Hope Channel.
Winnie Baker did everything right. She married her childhood sweetheart, avoided the downfalls of adolescent stardom, and transitioned into a stable adult acting career. Hell, she even waited until marriage to have sex. But after her perfect life falls apart, Winnie is ready to redefine herself—and what better way than a steamier-than-a-steaming-hot-mug-of-cider Christmas movie?
With decade old Hollywood history between them, Winnie and Kallum are both feeling hesitant about their new situation as costars…especially Winnie who can’t seem to fake on screen pleasure she’s never experienced in real life. She’s willing to do the pleasure research—for science and artistic authenticity, of course. And there’s no better research partner than her bridesmaid sex tape hall of fame costar, Kallum. But suddenly, Kallum’s teenage crush on Winnie is bubbling to the surface and Winnie might be catching feelings herself.

I was so glad to see that this companion novel series was getting a second book. I loved the first in the series when I read it last year so I cannot wait to read this one and meet its characters. I am hoping we will get cameos from the other books characters throughout too. I’m sure this one is going to be amazing.
Three Holidays and a Wedding by Marissa Stapley and Uzma Jalaluddin
As strangers and seatmates Maryam Aziz and Anna Gibson fly to Toronto over the holidays—Maryam to her sister’s impromptu wedding, and Anna to meet her boyfriend’s wealthy family for the first time—neither expect that severe turbulence will scare them into confessing their deepest hopes and fears to one another.
At least they’ll never see each other again. And the love of Maryam’s life, Saif, wasn’t sitting two rows behind them hearing it all. Oops.
An emergency landing finds Anna, Saif, Maryam, and her sister’s entire bridal party snowbound at the quirky Snow Falls Inn in a picture-perfect town, where fate has Anna’s actor-crush filming a holiday romance. As Maryam finds the courage to open her heart to Saif, and Anna feels the magic of being snowbound with an unexpected new love—both women soon realize there’s no place they’d rather be for the holidays.

I hadn’t even heard of this one when I stumbled across it in a tiny bookshop last month. After reading the synopsis I knew I had to pick it up immediately. It isn’t very often that you see a multi-faith holiday rom-com which makes me even more excited to give this one a read. I have high hopes for this one.
Lovelight Farms by B. K. Borison
A pasture of dead trees. A hostile takeover of the Santa barn by a family of raccoons. And shipments that have mysteriously gone missing. Lovelight Farms is not the magical winter wonderland of Stella Bloom’s dreams.
In an effort to save the Christmas tree farm she’s loved since she was a kid, Stella enters a contest with Instagram-famous influencer Evelyn St. James. With the added publicity and the $100,000 cash prize, Stella might just be able to save the farm from its financial woes. There’s just one problem. To make the farm seem like a romantic destination for the holidays, she lied on her application and said she owns Lovelight Farms with her boyfriend. Only…there is no boyfriend.
Enter best friend Luka Peters. He just stopped by for some hot chocolate and somehow got a farm and a serious girlfriend in the process. But fake dating his best friend might be the best Christmas present he’s ever received.

This is the one I think I’m going to be starting my Christmas reading with. I nearly started this one in June before realising it would be perfect for Christmas. I love the fake dating and friends-to-lovers tropes and this has both. So, of course I cannot wait to start this one and see what I think!
Make You Mine This Christmas by Lizzie Huxley-Jones
After a year from hell, Haf is ready to blow off steam at a Christmas party: a kind stranger, a few too many drinks and suddenly she’s kissing Christopher under the mistletoe – in front of his ex-girlfriend.
The next day the news is out that they’re apparently a couple, madly in love and coming to Oxlea to spend the festive season with Christopher’s family. But Haf doesn’t have better holiday plans and to save her new friend from embarrassment, she agrees to pretend to be Christopher’s girlfriend for Christmas.
It has the makings of a hilarious anecdote they’ll be telling for years. Until Haf meets Christopher’s sister: the mysterious, magnetic and utterly irresistible Kit. Maybe love was waiting for Haf in this quiet little town all along . . .

I’ve been wanting to read this one since it was released last year. I couldn’t get my hands on a physical copy of it until a few days ago. So, I’m going to make this one of my priorities this year. I’ve heard nothing by amazing things about it which makes me even more excited to read it.
Only for the Holidays by Abiola Bello
City girl Tia Solanké is dreading the festive period. She’s on a break with her boyfriend and the last thing she wants to do is spend Christmas away from London. Arriving at Saiyan Hedge Farm, Tia takes an instant disliking to it. She falls in horse manure, is chased by sheep and the Wi-Fi sucks. How is she meant to stalk her ex now and concoct a foolproof plan to win him back?
Country boy Quincy Parker and his family run the farm, and this year they’ve been selected to host the biggest event in the town’s calendar – the Winter Ball. Preparations are underway, and Quincy is working around the clock to make it a success. The only problem is, he’s told everyone he has a date to the ball, when in reality that couldn’t be further from the truth.
At first, Tia and Quincy don’t see eye to eye, until they realise they both have something to gain by pretending to be a couple. But when a snowstorm threatens to cancel the Winter Ball, their fake relationship is put to the test. Will Tia and Quincy be able to keep up the pretence and save the day, or will real feelings get in the way?

I read Abiola Bello’s previous Christmas novel last year and it was excellent. So, I am looking forward to reading another by her. This one sounds like it is going to be a lot of fun and has been getting some excellent reviews online already. I think it will be a perfect feel-good read for this Christmas season.
If I get the chance…
If I manage to blast through the books at the top of my Christmas TBR for this year (I’m not sure that I will but you never know), I would like to may my way through this selection of books. They are:
- Baby It’s Cold Outside by Emily Bell
- This Year’s for Me and You by Emily Bell
- 25 Days in December by Poppy Alexander
- Wreck the Halls by Tessa Bailey
- Just Like Magic by Sarah Hogle
- All I Want for Christmas by Maggie Knox

There you have it, the books I want to read before Christmas. What books are you looking forward to reading before Christmas? Let me know in the comments!

I just read Three Holidays and a Wedding and it was really sweet! It is more of a friendship story and I loved that about it.
