I’ve been good for another month and only requested a couple of books on Netgalley. I’ve even managed to get my feedback ratio to 95% which I’m quite proud of.
I started writing these posts to show what was on my Netgalley TBR and to hold myself accountable when it comes to reading them. So, here are some of the books on my Netgalley TBR / shelf at the moment!

Little Bang by Kelly McCaughrain
Beneath the New Year’s Eve fireworks, shy science-nerd Mel and slacker songwriter Sid get pregnant on their first date. Any sixteen-year-olds would expect trouble – but this is Northern Ireland 2018, where abortion is still illegal. Mel’s religious parents insist she must keep the baby, whilst Sid’s feminist mum pushes for a termination.
Mel and Sid are determined to do this together, but they soon discover that pregnancy is totally different for boys and girls. When their relationship starts to fall apart under all the pressure, Mel finds herself feeling alone with the impossible dilemma of the Little Bang growing inside her.

I think this is one that I am going to start in the new year. It sounds like it is going to be thought-provoking and for good reason. I’ve already been seeing some amazing things about this one so far so I’m excited to give it a read very soon and let you know what I think.
Snowed In by Catherine Walsh
Megan is dreading going home for the holidays. She’s the village pariah, the she-devil who left local golden boy Isaac at the altar four years ago and ran away to the big city. She could really do without the drama. Particularly as he’s engaged again, and she’s just been dumped for the fourth time this year.
Christian’s fed up of being on his own every Christmas. He doesn’t mind being alone, but he hates his family’s sad eyes and soft tones as they sit around coupled up. Because he’s actually, totally, fine.
So when Megan literally bumps into Christian in a Dublin pub, they come up with a pact to see them through the holiday season. They’re going to be the very best fake dates for each other, ever.
Rules are drawn up, a contract is signed on a wine-stained napkin. They will sit through each other’s family gatherings and be outrageously in love until freed from their annual obligations. After all, it’s only for a few weeks.
But with everyone home for the holidays, two big families to deal with alongside old friends, old flames and old feelings, things are bound to get messy. And when a snowed-in cabin and a little Christmas magic are added to the mix, anything could happen…

I’m going to be starting this one very soon and I cannot wait! Catherine Walsh’s previous Christmas romance was one of my favourite books of last year. So, of course I am excited to read this one and see what I think. It has some of my favourite tropes and I’m sure it is going to be an amazing read.
The Ex-Mas Holidays by Zoe Allison
There’s never a good time to bump into your ex – so Maya Bashir is shocked when she comes face to face with her old flame Sam Holland, who is wearing nothing but a tiny apron, working as a naked butler at her friend’s Christmas party.
Having driven home for the holidays after losing her boyfriend, flat and job – and dreading her father’s inevitable disappointment that she still doesn’t have a fifty-year plan – perhaps Sam is exactly the distraction Maya needs.
But as sparks begin to fly, Maya doesn’t know if she can let Sam back into her heart so easily… With Christmas day fast approaching, will Maya find love or disaster under the tree?

This is very high up on my Christmas TBR for this year and for good reason! It has been getting amazing reviews online which has me even more excited. It is a second-chance enemies-to-lovers story and I have high hopes about it!
The Good, the Bad, and the Aunties by Jesse Sutanto
It’s Chinese New Year, a time to celebrate…
Fresh from their honeymoon, Meddy and Nathan meet the Aunties in Jakarta for a family celebration. Amid the festivities, an old flame of Second Aunt’s arrives with extravagant gifts. Unfortunately, not all the presents were meant for them.
NOT the time to start an all-out war.
The item goes missing, putting Meddy and the Aunties in the middle of a feud between Jakarta’s most powerful business moguls – and in great danger. To save her loved ones, Meddy must organise a search party, a break-in and a kidnapping. It might sound impossible – but with the Aunties by her side, nothing is impossible… just complicated.

This is the third in the Aunties series which I absolutely love. It is an hilarious series full of twists and turns and moments that make you laugh out loud. I’m excited to see what is going to happen next in the series and I’m sure I’ll enjoyed reading this one.

There you have it, some of the books that are on my Netgalley shelf/TBR at the minute! What have you got on your Netgalley shelf and what are you excited to read? Let me know in the comments!
