Thank you very much to the publishers and Netgalley for sending me an eARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Megan is dreading going home for the holidays. She’s the village pariah, the she-devil who left local golden boy Isaac at the altar four years ago and ran away to the big city. She could really do without the drama. Particularly as he’s engaged again, and she’s just been dumped for the fourth time this year.
Christian’s fed up of being on his own every Christmas. He doesn’t mind being alone , but he hates his family’s sad eyes and soft tones as they sit around coupled up. Because he’s actually, totally, fine.
So when Megan literally bumps into Christian in a Dublin pub, they come up with a pact to see them through the holiday season. They’re going to be the very best fake dates for each other, ever .
Rules are drawn up, a contract is signed on a wine-stained napkin. They will sit through each other’s family gatherings and be outrageously in love until freed from their annual obligations. After all, it’s only for a few weeks.
But with everyone home for the holidays, two big families to deal with alongside old friends, old flames and old feelings, things are bound to get messy. And when a snowed-in cabin and a little Christmas magic are added to the mix, anything could happen…

After reading Holiday Romance in 2022 and it becoming one of my favourite books of the year, of course, I was excited to read the companion novel Snowed In. I went into this one expecting a light-hearted, fun and adorable romance and that is exactly what I got!
Megan is not looking forward to going home for the holidays. Especially after she left local golden boy Isaac at the alter four years ago and ran away. Christian is fed up of being on his own every Christmas. He doesn’t mind being alone he just hates how his family look at him for being alone.

Plus, when a snowed-in cabin and a little Christmas magic are added to the mix, anything could happen.
I’m always a fan of books that are dual POV because I feel like you get to know the characters a little bit better. You see different situations from both the character’s perspectives which opens up the story even further for me. Snowed In allows the reader to see the story from both Christian and Megan’s perspectives which I loved.
Megan is a hilariously witty main character and I loved watching her stand her ground. Throughout this book we see her rebuild herself and I couldn’t help but feel proud of her and all that she achieves. Christian is such a thoughtful, caring and intelligent man. We also get to see him develop as a person throughout the book which made me like him even more. I need more men in romance novels who look at their partner the way Christian does with Megan.
There is a whole host of side characters in this book too. We get to meet a lot of Christian and Megan’s families who I loved. The relationships they each shared with their siblings have to be some of my favourites. It was lovely to see Molly and Andrew from Holiday Romance again too.
This book covers quite a lot in terms of personal growth. Both Christian and Megan are dealing with their own issues throughout the book. The author does an excellent job of allowing them to grow as well as showing how the issues they have been facing have affected them over the years. These moments felt extremely realistic but didn’t at all take away from the fun and light-hearted elements of the book.
I’m now on the hunt for more books by Catherine Walsh as the ones I’ve read have been adorable, hilarious and a lot of fun. If you haven’t read any of her books yet, I cannot recommend them enough!
Overall, Snowed In is an excellent holiday rom-com that I would highly recommend. Even if you are just looking for a holiday read throughout this year, this is one you won’t regret picking up!
