What’s On My Netgalley TBR?

For months now I’ve been doing well at not requesting too many books on Netgalley, but that all went out the window this month. I’ve requested and then got accepted for a lot of books. Despite that I’ve still managed to keep my feedback ratio over 90% which I’m happy about.

I started writing these posts to show what was on my Netgalley TBR and to hold myself accountable when it comes to reading them. So, here are some of the books on my Netgalley TBR / shelf at the moment!

Charlie Milford is a betting man. As the top executive at the investment firm his dad almost ran into the ground, he has to know when to play it close to the chest and when to go all in. So, when Nova Porter proposes one night – no strings – to get their inconvenient attraction out of their systems, he does what he does best. He puts it all on the line.

Nova Porter has no explanation for her attraction to buttoned-up, boat-shoe-owning Charlie Milford. Maybe it’s his charm? Or maybe it’s his determination to help her fledgling business any way he can. Either way, she’s distracted and she needs to be focused. She’s about to expand her homegrown tattoo business and she doesn’t have time for frivolous flirtations.

Too bad her one-night solution doesn’t work out as planned. If anything, their explosive night together leaves her wanting more. And, with Charlie in town temporarily overseeing Lovelight Farms for his sister Stella, there’s no way to avoid him in the tiny neighbourhood of Inglewild. Add in a meddling small town, some close quarters and a mischievous duckling and all bets are off.

I read Lovelight Farms back in December and absolutely loved it. So, as soon as I saw this one on Netgalley I had to request it. My plan is to read the other two books in the series and then go straight into reading this one. It sounds excellent and I’m sure it will be one that I enjoy.

Theo and Kit have been childhood best friends, crushes, lovers and, after a brutal breakup four years ago, estranged exes.

It’s not until Theo and Kit are trapped on board a tour bus that they discover that they’ve each had the same idea: to take their dream European food and wine tour – alone. And now they’re stuck with each other for three weeks of the most romantic sights and sensuous flavours of France, Spain, and Italy. But it’ll be fine. They’re absolutely over each other.

So, when Theo suggests a friendly wager to see who can sleep with their hot Italian tour guide first, Kit is game. In fact, why stop there? Why not a full-on European hookup competition?

But sometimes a taste of everything only makes you crave what you can’t have.

This one is going to be absolutely perfect for summer! A European road trip and forced proximity, yes please! Casey McQuiston previous books have been some of my favourites. So, I cannot wait to have another in my life and give it a read as soon as possible.

Eileen Merriweather loves a good love story. The fictional kind, anyway. After all, imaginary men don’t break your heart.

That’s why she’s so excited for her annual book club retreat – instead, when her car breaks down en route, Eileen finds herself in Eloraton. A town where every meet is cute, the rain always comes in the afternoon, and the bookshop is always curated with impeccable taste.

It feels too good to be true . . . because Eloraton is the setting of her favourite romance series. And Eileen is sure she must be here to bring the town its storybook ending.

But there’s one character she can’t place. The grumpy bookshop owner with mint-green eyes, and an irritatingly sexy mouth. He does not want Eileen to finish this story, but how else can she find her happily-ever-after?

This book sounds so unique! The main character is stuck in her favourite book’s fictional town which sounds like it is going to be the catalyst for a lot of things. Add Ashley Poston’s amazing romance writing to this concept and I’m sure it will be an extraordinary story that I cannot wait to read!

Safiya has struggled to pick up the pieces of her family since her dad left them and moved to Somalia. She refuses to trust in love, despite wishing she could fall for boy-next-door Yusuf… And then her dad moves back to town with his new family, shattering her life all over again.

Halima doesn’t want to move to England. She resents her stepdad for dropping her in a strange new life with a new language to learn – replacing her friends with bullies who set out to shame her.

When the girls are thrown together at school, it’s hate at first sight. But as they uncover life-changing secrets from their parents’ past, they begin to realize…What if the key to all their problems lies in their sisterhood?

I added this one to my TBR as it seems it is going to be a hard-hitting and thought-provoking YA novel. I’ve seen a lot of amazing things about the authors previous novel which makes me even more intrigued to read this one as soon as I can.

There you have it, some of the books that are on my Netgalley shelf/TBR at the minute! What have you got on your Netgalley shelf and what are you excited to read? Let me know in the comments!

Happy Reading
