Happy June everyone! I’m quite proud of myself for hauling a few less books than usual throughout May. I hauled 12 books in May. This haul has some presents for myself, pre-orders and books kindly gifted to me by publishers. Here is my May book haul!
At the beginning of the month whilst out on a little shopping trip I picked up a few books. I couldn’t miss picking up the special edition of Collide by Bal Khabra which I’m excited to read. Then I picked up Rosewater by Liv Little as I’ve had my eye on if for quite a while. On the way home I called in to a local supermarket and picked up Date with Destiny by Lucy Vine because it caught my eye. Also, In Memoriam by Alice Winn as I’ve been seeing it get incredible reviews.
I had a few pre-orders arrive in May. The first was You Are Here by David Nicholls which I have since read and thoroughly enjoyed. Then the other was This Summer Will be Different by Carley Fortune which I am so excited to read when I’m on holiday very soon.
I was lucky enough to be gifted a couple of books this month by lovely publishers. The first gifted by Pan Macmillan and it was The Pairing by Casey McQuiston which sounds amazing and is out in August! I will be reading this one as soon as possible. The other was gifted by Penguin and was Bite Me, Royce Taslim by Lauren Ho which is out now. I’m reading it at the moment and loving it.
Right at the end of the month I took a quick trip into town and of course visited the bookshops there. From The Works I picked up The Last Days of Lilah Goodluck by Kylie Scott and Love Game by Emma Rae. Both of these sounded excellent! Then from Waterstones I picked up Salt Slow by Julia Armfield and Blue Sisters by Coco Mellors because I loved both of the authors other books.
So, I ended the month with 12 more books than I began it with. Thank you so much to the publishers who gifted me some of the books included in this haul!
