August is almost here and there are so many amazing new books coming out throughout the month. So, I wanted to share the ones I’m most excited about in this post. Here are the new book releases I’m excited for in August!

Last Seen Online by Lauren James
When Delilah meets Sawyer Saffitz (son of Anya Saffitz, aka Hollywood royalty), she becomes hooked on a decade-old scandal. In her quest for the truth, Delilah uncovers blogposts written by the mysterious “gottiewrites” and is soon caught up in a world of greed, fandom conspiracy theories … and murder. And the deeper Delilah digs, the more dangerous it becomes – because someone is willing to kill to hide the truth.

Ever since Lauren James’ online novel was released years ago I’ve been waiting for the follow up physical book. I’m actually reading this one at the moment and I’m loving it so much. Lauren James’ writing is always spectacular and captivates you straight away. I cannot wait to finish it and share what I think.

The Pairing by Casey McQuiston
Theo and Kit have been childhood best friends, crushes, lovers and, after a brutal breakup four years ago, estranged exes.
It’s not until Theo and Kit are trapped on board a tour bus that they discover that they’ve each had the same idea: to take their dream European food and wine tour – alone. And now they’re stuck with each other for three weeks of the most romantic sights and sensuous flavours of France, Spain, and Italy. But it’ll be fine. They’re absolutely over each other.
So, when Theo suggests a friendly wager to see who can sleep with their hot Italian tour guide first, Kit is game. In fact, why stop there? Why not a full-on European hookup competition?
But sometimes a taste of everything only makes you crave what you can’t have.

Casey McQuiston is an author you can always rely on for an exceptional book. I was lucky enough to get an ARC of this book and I’m about 100 pages into it so far. It is fun and perfect to read in summer. I’m looking forward to reading more and sharing my thoughts when I’m finished.

The Break-Up Pact by Emma Lord
June and Levi were best friends as teenagers – until the day they weren’t. Now June is struggling to make rent on her beachside tea shop, Levi is living a New York cliché as a disillusioned hedge fund manager and failed novelist, and they’ve barely spoken in years.
But, after they both experience public, humiliating break-ups that spread like wildfire online, a photo of them together has the internet convinced they’re a couple. With so many people rooting for them, they decide to put aside their rocky past and make a pact to fuel the fire by pretending to date. After all, that will help June’s shop stay open and make Levi’s ex realize what a mistake she made.
All they have to do is convince the world they’re in love, one swoon-worthy photo opp at a time. Then they can happily go their separate ways with no regrets . . . right?

I adore Emma Lord’s books so I cannot wait to read another book by her. One of my favourite tropes is fake dating which this book has. It also has childhood friends to lovers so you bet I cannot wait to get my hands on this. I’m so excited to read this as soon as it is released!

Enemies to Lovers by Laura Jane Williams
Flo Greenberg: highly strung. Over-achiever. And desperate for a relaxing Greek holiday with her family.
Jamie Kramer: her brother’s best friend. Pain in the arse. And somehow on Flo’s relaxing Greek holiday too…
With two surprise weeks of sharing meals, boat trips and sun-loungers, Flo must endure the company of this irksomely chiselled Lothario. But after what happened last year, she’s determined not to let him get the better of her.
In fact, spending time with the enemy will be the perfect cure for Flo’s all-consuming anger towards Jamie, right?

I’ve seen so much about Laura Jane Williams’ books recently so of course I’m excited to see there is another one on the way. This one sounds spectacular and I feel like it would be the perfect book to read at the end of the summer. I’ve actually pre-ordered this one for my kindle and I cannot wait to read it.

Daydream by Hannah Grace
As a chronic procrastinator, Henry Turner always knew his junior year in college wasn’t going to be easy. That was before he made ice hockey captain as well as landing himself in a difficult class with his least favourite professor.
Thankfully, it’s then that Henry meets Halle, a fellow junior who he immediately befriends. Academic pressure has never been a struggle for Halle, but as an introverted people pleaser with a tendency to overcommit herself, she can’t help but offer to help Henry pass his class. In turn he offers to help make college life a little more inspiring – just the thing she needs as an aspiring novelist…
Failure isn’t an option for either of them but that doesn’t mean there isn’t a little room for distraction…

This is one of my most anticipated releases of the entire year and I cannot wait to finally get my hands on it. I’m so excited to read Henry’s book! It has already had some amazing reviews which makes me even more excited. I will be reading this as soon as my pre-order arrives next month!
