What I Read in September!
Somehow we only have just over three months left of the year and I don't understand how. I’ve managed to read 12 books in September which is more than I was expecting to. In this post, you will find a bunch of mini-reviews for the books I read in September. Here they are!
The Love Dare – Abiola Bello
After reading Abiola Bello’s Christmas themed stories, I was excited to see she was releasing a book set in summer. The Love Dare is a YA romance that is full of humour, friendship and adorable moments.
Currently I’m…
I don't have the ability to read one book at once, watch one show at once and listen to one album at once. I always have more than one, of each, on the go. I’m always intrigued by what other people are reading, watching and listening to. I think that it is a very good way to learn more about other people and to get recommendations at the same time. So, I started doing the ‘Currently I’m…‘ posts to share my current reads, watches and what I’m listening to with other people who are just as curious as I am. Here is what I am currently reading, watching and listening to.
Tales from the Café by Toshikazu Kawaguchi – Quote
A while ago, I finished reading Tales from the Café by Toshikazu Kawaguchi and loved it. It is such a stunning story that really makes you think about your life and what is going on around you. It is packed full of beautiful quotes, so, I wanted to do what I normally do with a book that I enjoy, which is pick a quote from it and get designing.
What’s On My Netgalley TBR?
I'm quite proud of how well I'm doing with keeping my book requesting on Netgalley to a minimum and keeping on top of reading them. My feedback ratio is still over 90% but I have a number of books on there that I need to read soon. I started writing these posts to show what was on my Netgalley TBR and to hold myself accountable when it comes to reading them. So, here are some of the books on my Netgalley TBR / shelf at the moment!
When Haru Was Here – Dustin Thao
After reading the heartbreaking novel that was You’ve Reached Sam a couple of years ago, I’ve been keeping my eyes out for another book by Dustin Thao. So, when I saw the announcement about When Haru Was Here, I knew I was in for another book that would break my heart. I flew through reading it, it had me in tears and I'm sure so many people are going to love it!

Indie Bookstore Tag
Whilst looking at book tags the other day, I spotted the Indie Bookstore tag and knew I wanted to do it soon. I spotted it over on ZeZee with Books who always has fun book tags to spark your interest. This one in particular seemed like it would be a lot of fun. Here is the Indie Bookstore tag.
What a Way to Go – Bella Mackie
Ever since reading How to Kill Your Family by Bella Mackie a couple of years ago, I’ve been keeping my eyes out for another book by her. So, I was really excited to give her latest release a read. What a Way to Go is a thrilling novel about money, family and unfortunate demises. It is packed full of dark comedy and witty writing. Bella Mackie’s latest novel is certainly not one to miss.
