Happy October everyone! I’ve been quite restrained this month and only hauled 9 books throughout September. This haul has some presents for myself and pre-orders. Here is my September book haul!

At the start of the month, I took myself on a trip some of the local bookstores. Whilst there I picked up 3 books. They were The Lantern of Lost Memories by Sanaka Hiiragi, Dead-End Memories by Banana Yoshimoto and Hello Stranger by Katherine Center. Each of them have been on my wishlist for a while and I’m excited to read them all.
I had quite a few pre-orders arrive this month which all came throughout the month. The first was Before We Forget Kindness by Toshikazu Kawaguchi which is the 5th book in a series that I adore.
Then in the space of three days, three different pre-orders arrived. Intermezzo by Sally Rooney, The Restaurant of Lost Memories by Hisashi Kashiwai and Glass Girl by Kathleen Glasgow. Each of these are high on my list of anticipated releases for this year and I can’t wait to read them.
The last pre-order to arrive was the start of new Christmas releases for 2024. It was A Jingle Bell Mingle by Julie Murphy and Sierra Simone which I’m looking forward to reading at Christmas.
The last book I picked up this year was Want by Gillian Anderson. I’d seen a lot about it online and thought it would be an enjoyable read.
So, I ended the month with 9 more books than I began it with. I can’t wait to read them all!

What books did you get in September and what books are you excited about in October? Let me know in the comments!
