Book Lovers – Emily Henry

Book Lovers by Emily Henry is the perfect book to read this summer. It is full of humour, romantic moments and even some moments that will make you feel emotional. I’ve adored all of Emily Henry’s books but this one is easily my favourite of hers for so many reasons.

Currently I’m…

Hello! Hope you are well. I am back with another 'Currently I'm...' post. For those who don't know, I started doing these posts because of how intrigued I am to find out other people's currents. I love knowing what other people are currently reading, watching and listening to. Here is this month's 'Currently I'm...'

Something Wilder – Christina Lauren

Christina Lauren is a writing duo that I always feelI can trust to provide me with a good read. That is why I was beyond excited to read Something Wilder whilst I was on holiday. I knew it was something a little different for the pair but I didn’t realise to what extent. Let me tell you, this book blew my mind! It is unconventional and unique and it is truly exciting to devour.

My Nonidentical Twin – Evie Meg

Back in 2020, when TikTok became the new social media site, it was practically impossible to not see one of Evie’s (This Trippy Hippie) videos on there. Evie became a constant on my FYP (for you page) and her videos brought a smile to my face, educated and inspired me. So, when I learnt she was releasing a memoir I wanted to read it as soon as possible.

Hunter Yee has perfect aim with a bow and arrow, but all else in his life veers wrong. He's sick of being haunted by his family's past mistakes. Graduation looms ahead, and her parents' expectations are stifling. Then her life is turned upside down by the strange new boy in her class, the arrival of unearthly fireflies, and an ominous crack spreading across the town of Fairbridge.

This Place is Still Beautiful – XiXi Tian

Despite having had near-identical upbringings, sisters Annalie and Margaret agree on only one thing: that they have nothing in common. Nineteen-year-old Margaret is driven, ambitious, and keenly aware of social justice issues. She couldn't wait to leave their oppressive small-town home and take flight in New York. Meanwhile sweet, popular, seventeen-year-old Annalie couldn't think of anything worse - she loves their town, and feels safe coasting along in its confines. That is, until she arrives home one day to find a gut-punching racial slur painted on their garage door.

Ellie Pillai is Brown – Christine Pillainayagam

My name is Ellie. Ellie Pillai . . . And I suppose I am a little bit weird, but then, aren't we all, just a little bit? Most days, Ellie Pillai is somewhere between invisible, and not very cool - and usually she's okay with that. But suddenly, Ellie feels different. Maybe it's the new boy at school who makes her brain explode into rainbows every time she sees him (and also happens to be going out with her best friend), or maybe it's her new drama teacher, the one who seems to have noticed she exists.

What’s On My Netgalley TBR?

I've managed, thanks to my holiday, to get my Netgalley TBR under some form of control. That does not mean there are still a lot of books on there though. Writing this sort of post each month helps me to see what is on my TBR and when I need to read them. So, I wanted to share some of the books that are currently on my Netgalley TBR! Here are some of the books that are currently on my Netgalley shelf / TBR!
