It isn’t often that a YA book discusses teenage pregnancy. It is even rarer for a YA book to tackle teenage pregnancy and the topic of abortion so head-on. Little Bang is an unforgettable and poignant story that I feel everyone will learn something when they read this.

Snowed In – Catherine Walsh
After reading Holiday Romance in 2022 and it becoming one of my favourite books of the year, of course, I was excited to read the companion novel Snowed In. I went into this one expecting a light-hearted, fun and adorable romance and that is exactly what I got!
What I Read in December!
We are in the last few days of 2023 and I cannot believe how quickly this year has flown by. So far, I've read 11 books throughout December (as of 21st December). I am hoping to read a few more books this month as I'd love to reach 120 books read this year. But, I wanted to make sure this post went live on time. If you are on the hunt for a book to read in the days before Christmas, or if you are looking for a wintery rom-com, then you need to look no further than Only for the Holidays. It is the perfect light-hearted YA contemporary and I would highly recommend it.
One Christmas Morning – Rachel Greenlaw
Last year when I was on the lookout for Christmas books this one caught my eye and I’m so glad it did. If you are a fan of time-loop stories with heart-felt, heart-breaking storylines I would certainly recommend this one.

I don't know about you, but I love reading Christmas-themed books throughout the month of December. I started reading them the minute it became December this year. There are so many Christmas books out there and I quite often struggle to find ones I would love to read. I was sucked into the world of Ali Hazelwood’s writing, along with a lot of people, a couple of years ago and have read everything she has released ever since. So, of course I was excited to give her YA debut a read. I thoroughly enjoyed Check & Mate and have had a desire to play chess ever since finishing it.
