Authors I’ve Met this Year

Over the past year I have met a lot of authors. I cannot believe I have been lucky enough to meet this many authors and will be grateful for the opportunities I have been given over the past 2 years of blogging, especially when it comes to meeting authors. I wanted to look back and remember the authors I’ve met this year!

Alwyn Hamilton – I met Alwyn early on in the year at Waterstones Deansgate to interview her! I had a lot of fun interviewing her, she is so lovely!

 

 

Sophie Anderson – I met Sophie early on in the year as well for an interview at Waterstones Deansgate. I loved interviewing her, she made it so easily and it didn’t feel like an interview at all. You can find my interview with Sophie here.

 

Alice Oseman – I met Alice at Waterstones Deansgate for an interview! I had recently finished I Was Born for This before I interviewed Alice and proceeded to fangirl in front of her about the book. You can find my interview with Alice here.

 

 

Akemi Dawn-Bowman– I met Akemi at the same time I met Alice at the event at Waterstones Deansgate. I also interviewed Akemi, who was so wonderful and answered all my weired and wonderful questions. You can find my interview with Akemi here.

 

I then went to the NYA Lit Festival in Preston where I met a lot of authors. All my interactions with these authors where quick and I didn’t get any picutres with them. At NYA Lit Festival I met; Katherine Webber, Matt Kileen, Annabel Pitcher, Lauren James, Laura Steven, Terry Teri and Anna Day.

At the end of July I went to YALC where I met 19 authors! I had so many incredible interactions with authors at YALC and I will never forget them! I am going to put a little collage of the authors I met and took pictures with below! YALC is such an amazing event to go to and I cannot wait to go next year.

At YALC I met: Non Pratt, Sara Barnard, Beth Garrod, Chloe Coles, Katherine Webber, Keris Stainton, Simon James Green, Josh Martin, Melinda Salisbury, Holly Bourne, Lisa Williamson, Tanya Byrne, Eleanor Wood, Karen Gregory, Tom Fletcher, Giovanna Fetcher, Kim Curran, Juno Dawson and Cecelia Vinesse.

 

Tomi Adeyemi – Just days after coming back from YALC I was invited to a meal with Tomi along with Kimi, Fiona and Katie! It was incredible. That night I realised how amazing blogging was and how unbelievable the opportunities it has given me are. Tomi is lovely and the meal was delicious!

 

Carrie Hope Fletcher – I met Carrie whilst she was on her book tour for When the Curtain Falls. It was the second time I had met her and she was lovely!

Laura Wood – I very recently met Laura Wood and had the opportuinity to interview her. This was at her event at Waterstones Deansgate. I loved interviewing Laura she was so wonderful! You can find my interview with Laura here.

Adam Silvera and Becky Albertalli – In two days I will be meeting Adam and Becky. Not only that but something exctremely exciting will be happening on that day too! Keep your eyes out for that exciting thing coming soon! I cannot wait to meet them both!
